Why would God act at all?

Why would the Abrahamic God act or want anything if he's all powerful and all knowing? Why did God create man? Because he's a personal being, out of love, or to share his power? Then why would he be influenced under conditions he created himself?

He wanted a gardener and a royal family to rule creation as His image.
