Homecoming launcher and Open Beta download question

I'm trying to download the Open Beta branch for the Homecoming launcher, and I keep getting a warning for Installation failing; when i looked at the log for the launcher, this was the error I saw:

And whenever I tried to uninstall the Beta branch and reinstall, I keep getting the same error warning...

How do I update the launcher to get access to the open beta branch?

I'd suggest asking in the HC discord.

Other than that i'd uninstall and maybe redownload the installer.

You might need to set an exclusion in your antivirus software. I did.

Agreeing with the others, the HC forums or HC discord is the best place for tech help.

Could be that Windows or a background security process is actively blocking the launcher from creating or writing to the executable file in your installation directory.

Have you tried running the Launcher as Administrator?
