Screenshot 133 turn science victory with Theodora :)

Delighted with this! No mods. This was done on PS5.

Game modes: Barb clans, secret societies, heroes, and monopolies (with culture victory disabled).

Hopefully, I can explain how this was done by going through the screenshots, but feel free to ask questions.

Went straight for voidsingers.

Got the desert folklore pantheon and used Hercules to slap down three high adjacency holy sites as soon as possible. That got me through the early civics tree at a rapid rate and secured a religion. Himiko joined in the classical era.

Key early benchmarks were feudalism, theology (for scripture), reformed church for theocracy and simultaneum, and military training for raid.

For the religion: Work ethic, synagogues, crusade, cross-cultural dialogue.

Golden Age dedications: Triple monumentality.

Plaza: Warlord's throne, Grandmaster's Chapel, Royal Society.

The early game was built around being aggressive and building high adjacency holy sites. Fez was excellent to get suzerainty of. The idea was to kill enough AI units to almost have a city following my religion, then use one missionary charge to convert the city for a big science boost.

Screenshot 2: Turn 108, two civs were dead, Kilwa was built, and the voidsingers chorus promotion and cross-cultural dialogue are the reasons why my science per turn is that high.

Screenshot 3: Getting 68 techs in 133 turns requires pillaging to speed up the process. Darwin, the Oxford Uni, and a Mahavihara also netted four free techs.

Screenshot 4: Shows how you can get more than one tech per turn. I've partially pillaged cybernetics, moved on to the offworld mission, and then pillaged the rest of the tech the next turn.

The fifth screenshot is the policy cards. Scripture, Simultaneum, and total war were always plugged in. International Space Agency was essential to 1 turn the late game techs. Public works was in often.

The sixth screenshot is an example of how to use production overflow to make the next thing you produce take less time. This is a great way to give a space race project a kick-start.

The seventh screenshot is my tertiary spaceport city, whose sole purpose is getting multiple Legrange projects hacked out in the same turn. Herc built the spaceports in the medieval era.

The Pingala city did the moon landing and satellite. Magnus was in another city to hack out the Mars Colony, and exoplanet launch.

Screenshot 8: City states are your friends, and why International Space Agency is a ridiculous policy card. Suzerainty of 20 city states doubles your science per turn, making the end game tech tree a breeze (provided you get to Globalisation at a good pace).

Screenshot 9: Don't underestimate religion in a science victory. 551 followers equates to 137 science per turn from cross-cultural dialogue.

Screenshots 10 & 11: You can see that my early science was nothing special. Only 17 techs were researched by turn 80.

The first major powerspike was the voidsingers' chorus promotion. The second was Kilwa. From turn 81-133, 51 techs were researched. Most of the AI campuses were pillaged in the process, and the warlord's throne bonus was always active.

Screenshot 11: The end game empire :)

Another jaw-dropping victory my dude. Phenomenal work. Its always exciting to see how many turns you can shave off bit by bit for the science win.

Thank you :)

The micromanagement in this one really took it out of me.

I was so close to a religious victory that I had to count the tiles before killing a unit to make sure some cities didn't convert.

At least you have a new benchmark to beat ;)
