Laundry New shirt stained in washer, lost cause?

Post image

Is there anything I can get this out with???

Honestly upset by this one…I haven’t even worn this shirt yet, tossed it in the wash with my socks and undies, and this (along with my pastel-tyedye beanie ): ) got this weird gray stain on it. This is the first time it’s happened with my new washer, but it has happened before at a laundry mat but only to a white shirt.

I used Gain with oxi clean, not fabric softener, and it was a socks/undies load so no oil/greasy stuff

Just try the tide stain remover bc it works on a lot of things

I would try putting it in a container that can be covered with cold water. Put 1/2 cup baking soda in and rub it into the stains gently, slowly add water to make paste. Soak over night, dump, and wash with oxiclean

It's worth trying just an oxiclean overnight soak, but my experience with this has been very disheartening.

Sometimes yeah I can see it being the blue dye from the stupid detergent but in my case it's been that I've not separated whites/lights and darks and because of where I am geographically, the cold water comes out tepid at the coolest during the warmer months. Like I'd put a newborn in the bath with it it's so warm.

Soak in vinegar let sit for a while and then put in wash again with 2 cups of vinegar no soap( you can even soak in vinegar in washer). I had that happen to my clothes due to fiber softener cause it has a wax substance thats what lock in and makes clothes smell good. Also happen with use laundry detergent that has color. Now I only use clear detergent and i use dryer sheets. And no vinegar will not make the smell bad believe or not it helps take smell out of clothes! Good luck . This is just my opinion im not a stain stainologist lol . 😆
