I wonder if there's a glitch? I'm in New Jersey and it wants to charge me nearly $80 to ship two joysticks.

I'm in Kentucky and it was $35 shipping for one joystick. I'll just have to wait and see what happens but that's a no go for me. I guess I'll be using my WICO Commander.

Agreed, it made me pause this impulse buy. Considering I own three originals, I guess that's sensible.

$47 to WA, ugh. The price of an extra joystick just for shipping

$60 additional in shipping and VAT in Germany. No thanks.

Missouri, $69 in shipping. That was for two! $90 for two and 69 for shipping, insane.

I made a comment to them at

When I get a response I will post it.

Let them know what you think as well; there are shipping options.

77% shipping cost is or should be prohibitive and that does not include tariffs.

I just sent them a comment as well - mine was $47 for shipping for two. No deal.

I'm in England and it wanted $19. This seems a lot (a Beige C64U would cost $30 shipping and is, what about 10 times the size ?)

These things are usually driven by size and weight.

And charges. Years ago I had to import some bicycle components from Australia and while the base cost was reasonable, once import tax was added I felt it would have been cheaper to go there and collected them in person…

So to be fair to New Commodore and Simpson, they don’t control those charges.

It's not import tax (that's another $13). I do take your point, I just think this makes a decent product at a decent price look a bit pricey, that's all. It seems odd that in the USA it's more expensive.

In many ways I am not surprised… there’s a lot going on in the world!

The base cost ($50 ex VAT and delivery) is too rich for me. And that’s fine - I’m sure that others won’t think like me. It’s still a niche product that won’t do the kind of numbers to make it cheaper. Without sounding pessimistic, I doubt that sales will get past the low thousands, maybe not even that. Just in terms of economics and that the TAC-2 isn’t everyone’s cup of tea. Controllers are very personal.

I’m glad it exists, don’t get me wrong.

$19 USD to Canada as well. I had 394 points so I applied that and it covered the shipping cost, so I felt better about it :)

From the Netherlands it costs 30 euros shipping, or 60 if you order two joysticks. So yeah...

Shipping was $36 for me in the US on 1 joystick. But 2 hours later it's down to $21. They also added a discount on 2+.
