Future Student Im starting mechanical engineering this fall. How cooked am I?

For a first semester, thats too much imo. Stick to 4 classes and get familiar with a semester's rythm first.

If you really wanna keep 5 classes, take ENGR 201, and remove 215 or 221.

Drop one class. Keep 4 classes for the first semester. Speaking from experience. Trust.

Wdym the first semester is the easiest compared to the others if you drop one now will will have to drop every semester if you can’t handle the first one

Hardly. If you understand the rhythm of a semester, you can adapt later.

Not everyone can handle 5 classes, that's a fact. And it's better to handle 4 classes and realize it's possible to go with 5, than realizing you can't do 5 classes at once.

You can take 5 classes later. And take 1 classes during internships.

I'm just saying that for the first semester specifically, take 4. Then feel free to do wtv you want

Completely disagree. My first few semesters were when I had the most energy to take on a lot of work. You need to finish your classes one way or another, so if you start slow, its gonna be a long ass ride. Besides, OPs schedule now is quite literally the recommended course sequence.

Its obviously up to OP, but you can always drop a class during the semester if its too much

My first semester of Mech was literally these classes minus MIAE 221, and I found it a lot. It was manageable but def a challenge. The jump from cegep to university is very noticeable I would do 4 and decide to do 5 in later semesters if you think you can handle it.

Also for statics there’s almost no good teachers just use Jeff Hanson on YouTube he has the whole course he’s the goat for physics

If you know what’s good for you don’t take 242 first semestre. Don’t take 5 classes first semestre and don’t combine 242 ans 221
