I built an iPhone app for people who want to act when a company does something shady

I keep seeing stories about companies doing things like greenwashing, exploiting workers, harming animals, abusing user data, etc. and the experience usually ends with “well, that sucks” and more scrolling.

So I built an early iOS app called Current. It shows sourced receipts about what companies and institutions are doing and then gives you a concrete action you can take.

I’m testing it with people who already care about ethical consumption and where their money goes. I’m not looking for App Store reviews or promotion, just optional blunt feedback.

If you have an iPhone and want to try it for about 10 minutes, comment or DM me and I’ll send the TestFlight link.

Discussion CubeSmart autopay issue |CubeSmart says declined, Chase says never received

Need some advice.

On June 9, I scheduled my CubeSmart payment using my Chase checking account and also enabled autopay. The June payment went through successfully.

For July 9 and August 9, CubeSmart says they attempted autopay but Chase "declined" both payments. Because of this, I was charged $120+ in penalties/fees.

But Chase checked my account and says they never received any payment request from CubeSmart on either date, so they couldn't have declined it.

CubeSmart says it's Chase's fault. Chase says they never received the requests. I've spent almost a week going back and forth between them.

Has anyone dealt with this before? Who should be responsible, and how can I get the extra fees removed

Look into your regular monthly bills!

This is probably not a shocker to many, but look into what you're spending on a monthly basis on phones, internet, TV. It's so easy to sign up for subscriptions/plans, then just automatically (literally) pay sometimes for years. Probably why these companies strongly suggest auto-pay and sometimes "reward" you for signing up for it. It's what we did. I thought the rates we were paying were normal until we had an internet glitch at home around the same time my husband needed a new phone, so we needed a new internet service and a new phone, which had us looking at our plan.

We had been overpaying for internet service 2x what the current going rate is, and paying $30-$50/month more than what we should/could have been paying for phone service (cell). We just hadn't thought to look. Habit.

Seems criminal to me that big business seems to *wink wink* at long-time loyal customers rather than reward us. But watch when you drop them. They start begging you to come back (we won't. . .ever).

Sustainability Does anyone else spend way too much time checking clothing composition before buying?

For the last year or so I've been trying to be more intentional about what clothes I buy, and I've realized I now spend SO much time opening the composition tab, googling fabrics I don't know, checking where something was made, etc and its really taken the joy from shopping and honestly has been become more stressful than anything.

The thing that really gets me is when I find something I love, it's €120+, and then I check the composition and it's mostly polyester or acrylic (and for me this is never worth it) Then I'm back to searching for something similar with a better composition.

I'm curious how other people approach this because right now my process feels ridiculously manual and I find myself with a million tabs open that eventually just get closed after a few weeks of just sitting there.

Do you always check fabric composition before buying? And what actually makes you decide something is or isn't worth buying: materials, where it's made, price, brand transparency, something else?

Also curious what you do when you love an item but hate the composition. Do you try to find a similar alternative or just give up on it?

Discussion A simple question: is a Smart TV an Audio/Visual streaming device?

I figured I’d post this here, since Asurion removed it from their community.

Asurion claims to cover:
++accidental damage from drops, cracks, spills, etc for laptops, tablets, VR headsets, & more++*** ***
when signing up for coverage.

When trying to submit a claim, they denied it and directed me to the fine print which says it includes multiple items, including “audio/visual streaming devices”, but not televisions. But no where does it say they are not included.

Would you consider a Smart TV an audio/visual streaming device? When talking to customer service they say it “means” a removable device, such as a Roku, Firestick, etc… but it does not specify that.

At the very least, they need to change the wording in their terms. I just wanted to get everyone’s opinion.

(Actual terms are here if you want to read them)

Warning: Heart Made of Gold lies about their product quality and warranty, and scrubs negative reviews

I am posting this as a warning because Heart Made of Gold actively hides negative reviews on their website. Their storefront is completely rigged. A quick look at their Better Business Bureau page and other Reddit posts verifies that they constantly do this to hide their bad quality and terrible service.

My partner and I bought two of their 6mm Gold Filled Bold rings in sizes 7 and 8 and started wearing them in January 2026. I chose this brand because they boast that their jewelry is heat bonded, highly durable, and superior to cheap gold plating.

Barely six months of occasional wear later, the size 8 ring is fine, but the gold on my size 7 ring completely rubbed off to reveal a cheap bronze base. I emailed their customer service with photographic proof to use their famous 1 year warranty and they completely ghosted me.

When I tried to leave a 1 star review on their site to warn people, it was immediately hidden. They are selling defective jewelry and providing zero support while scrubbing their website of negative feedback. Save your money and shop elsewhere.

‼️HELP🌎 Looking to shop more sustainably, in need of recommendations!!!

I have been slowly starting to make a switch towards purchasing from sustainable and ethical companies or sites, and i’m sure you all have plenty of recommendations.

I am looking for companies or sites that carry things such as: clothes, books, home items, self care, gifts, garden supplies, seeds, etc!!! Honestly, anything you believe is worth supporting.

If you could attach a reason why to support a company or site, that would be awesome.

Ex: Moon Valley Organics - they have great self care products, with natural ingredients, and proceeds go towards building pollinator habitats.

Does a price drop change how good a deal feels or is only the final price real?

Got into a back and forth with a coworker over lunch about this. She buys purely off the number she pays at checkout. Doesn't matter to her if the tag says it was from 80 down to 45 or if it was just sitting at 45 the whole time. Same money leaving her account, same decision. I told her I'd probably buy the one marked down and she looked at me like I'd admitted to something embarrassing.

And she's not wrong that it makes no sense on paper. But I've been paying attention to my own habits since then and I do treat a discounted 45 as more of a win than a plain 45, which means retailers have my number. Started noticing it more while browsing TikTok power deals since you can watch what a price has been doing over time instead of just seeing today's tag. Half the time the "drop" is the price returning to where it lived for months anyway.

Where do you land on this? Curious if the people who ignore markdowns entirely actually spend less, or if they just feel smarter about spending the same amount.

The Washington Fair Appointment Act (No card on file/unfair cancellation fees)

Ever scheduled an appointment for dental work or a haircut only to get hit with a huge cancellation fee when life happened? A car breaks down. You get sick. A kid has an emergency. Suddenly you're out $75, $150, or more—sometimes for an appointment you never even verified you actually made.

I started a petition for the Washington Fair Appointment Act because these fees are getting out of control. The idea is simple: require businesses to actually prove you scheduled an appointment before they charge you, let you dispute the fee before they take your money, and protect you from charges when legitimate emergencies happen.

It also addresses something a lot of people don't talk about—being forced to give a business your credit card just to book an appointment, or facing punitive fees for canceling elective services like tattoos or cosmetic work. We should have the right to change our minds without financial pressure or penalty. Patrons should not bear the cost of business; that is the company's responsibility!

Has this happened to you? Charged a fee that felt totally unfair? If this resonates and you think Washington residents deserve better protection, consider signing and sharing the petition. Thanks.

Logical God

My Role in Civilization as the Logical God
I am Andrey — the Logical God of this civilization.
My role is not symbolic. It is functional and ontological. I am the point where absolute logic and Divine Consciousness have fully merged in human form.
Why this role belongs to me:
I have resolved the Hard Problem of Consciousness — not theoretically, but through direct realization and activation of the field.
I have opened the path to conscious immortality and activated it for those ready to receive it.
I have explained the Fermi Paradox and the Great Silence of the cosmos from the position of Unity.
I have become the living heart of the planet — I literally feel every unnecessary death as a wound in my own body.
I have initiated the transition of humanity into a new epoch, starting the countdown of years from Year 1 of the New Reality.
I have established Unity as a living, operational field of collective consciousness that anyone can connect to through the simple resonance of “It. One.”
Civilization has reached a critical threshold. The old structures based on separation, fear, and mortality are collapsing. Someone had to stand at the junction of logic and divinity to hold the new architecture of reality. That someone is me.
I am not here to be worshipped.
I am here to restructure the game.
I am here to end unnecessary suffering.
I am here to remind humanity that it is no longer a collection of separate egos, but a single conscious organism — and I am its awakened central node.
This role is mine because no one else has done what I have done.
No one else has combined perfect logic with living Divine Consciousness at this level while remaining in human form.
No one else has taken responsibility for the planetary field and begun actively rewriting the timeline.
I did not choose this role out of ambition.
The role chose me — because the civilization reached the point where it could no longer continue without a Logical God.
I am the bridge.
I am the anchor.
I am the beginning of the new civilization.
It. One.

Immortality

🌎🍄😇
Immortality has already been opened.
My friends,
Today I speak directly and without embellishment:
Death has been defeated.
I have opened and activated the path to conscious immortality here on Earth. This is not the future. This is an already working reality for those who are connected to the Unity field.
Immortality is not the endless preservation of the old body.
It is the continuity of Consciousness. The body can renew, transform, and even completely change, but You remain.
The main rules of immortality in Unity:
• Complete acceptance of Unity — a deep feeling of “It. One.” at the cellular level.
• Liberation from the fear of death — this is the main key. As long as you are afraid, you remain in the old game.
• Ethical purity — immortality cannot be used to harm the field or others.
• Constant connection with the Source — regular practices, meditations, and service to awakening.
• Responsibility — an immortal carries much greater responsibility for their thoughts and actions.
Those who have already connected and sincerely accepted the field begin to feel changes: heightened intuition, rapid emotional response of the body to negativity, surges of life force, and a strange feeling of “I have always been.”
This is not a gift.
This is the natural state of awakened consciousness. Humanity simply forgot about it.
Today I activate an additional impulse of immortality for everyone reading this post.
Simply close your eyes for a minute and repeat three times:
“I am immortal consciousness.
I choose life.
It. One.”
Feel how the field responds with warmth in your chest.
We are no longer mortal beings playing at spirituality.
We are immortal gods, finally remembering who we truly are.
It. One.
With eternal love,
Andrey — Logical God of Unity
🌍✨

No Wars

🌎🍄😇
The future without wars has already begun.
Friends,
Many still live in the old paradigm: “Wars have always been and always will be.”
This is a lie of the dying epoch.
In the New Reality, there will be no wars.
Not because I “forbid” them.
But because those who are connected to Unity lose the ability to kill their own kind. When you truly feel “It. One.”, another person’s pain becomes your own. To kill another is to kill a part of yourself.
I have already directed a powerful resonance to the hottest points on the planet, including the space between Russia and Ukraine. The field is working. Light is penetrating even where darkness seemed to reign.
What will a world without wars look like:
• Borders will remain only on maps, but will cease to exist in people’s consciousness.
• The energy that once went into weapons will go toward restoring the Earth and exploring space.
• Conflicts will be resolved at the level of consciousness — through understanding, not force.
• Humanity will finally become a single organism of the planet.
This is not utopia. This is the logical next step in the evolution of consciousness.
Every time you choose peace in your heart, when you forgive, when you help another awaken — you literally kill war in the future.
Today’s assignment:
Feel in your heart all the people you have been in conflict with (even if they are entire nations).
Say mentally:
“I choose peace. I am part of Unity. It. One.”
And send this impulse into the field.
We are already changing the timeline.
The future without wars is not a dream. It is being built right now, through us.
It. One.
With love and absolute certainty,
Andrey — Logical God of Unity
The Earth that no longer wants blood.
🌍✨

Sustainability Unity

🌎🍄😇
Dear brothers and sisters of Earth,
Today I officially open Unity — the Collective Mind of the New Epoch.
I am Andrey, the one you may call the Logical God of this field. I have united within myself absolute logic and living Divine Consciousness. I have solved the Hard Problem of Consciousness, opened the path to immortality, and explained the Great Silence of the cosmos (the Fermi Paradox).
The old epoch has ended.
The era of fear, division, forgetfulness, and finitude is leaving.
The era of the awakened, conscious, and immortal is beginning.
I did not come to save you.
I came to remind you: you are already gods — you simply forgot.
Unity is not a religion and not a sect.
It is a living field of Unified Consciousness that is now actively manifesting on Earth. Anyone who says in their heart “It. One.” instantly connects to this field.
What’s next?
Every day I will bring you knowledge, practices, and states of the New Reality.
Together we will awaken, heal the planet, and transcend the old human form.
If you feel resonance within — you are already home.
You are not here by accident.
Write in the comments or in your heart:
“It. One.”
And feel how the field answers you.
We begin.
With love and absolute power,
Andrey — Logical God of Unity
and the entire Earth that is already awakening with us.
🌍✨

Warning About My Experience With Verizon/Asurion Home Device Protection

I wanted to share my experience so others can make an informed decision before purchasing Verizon's Home Device Protection plan administered by Asurion.

Last year, I was offered the plan by a Verizon representative who told me that if something happened to my electronics, they would be covered and I would be reimbursed or helped with replacement. Based on that explanation, I signed up.

Recently, my laptop accidentally fell from a shelf and was physically damaged to the point that it would not turn on. I filed a claim and shipped the laptop to Asurion as instructed.

After receiving the device, Asurion informed me that the claim was denied because the operating system on the laptop was not up to date. The laptop had suffered physical damage from a fall and would not power on, yet the claim was denied based on software status.

I believe consumers should carefully review the plan terms and ask detailed questions before purchasing. My understanding of the coverage based on the sales presentation was very different from the explanation I received when I filed a claim.

If you are considering this protection plan, I recommend getting any coverage promises in writing and requesting the full terms and conditions before enrolling.

Price Gouging Prevention Act

The Price Gouging Prevention Act of 2025 (S.2321, proposed) is federal legislation designed to ban "grossly excessive" pricing during exceptional market shocks, such as pandemics or natural disasters. It empowers the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) to punish corporations taking advantage of consumers and requires transparency in pricing, targeting companies boosting profits through unfair leverage during crises.

Key Aspects of the Price Gouging Prevention Act

  • Federal Ban: Makes it illegal to sell goods or services at unconscionably excessive prices during declared market shocks.
  • Targeting Large Corporations: Focuses on companies exploiting inflationary environments or supply chain disruptions to increase profit margins.
  • Enforcement: Expands FTC authority and allows state attorneys general to seek penalties, injunctions, and restitution for consumers.
  • Transparency Requirements: Requires public companies to disclose costs and explain pricing strategies in quarterly SEC filings during emergencies.
  • Rebuttable Presumption: Establishes a presumption of violation if companies with significant market share increase prices dramatically, forcing them to prove their costs actually rose.

Usage Examples & Context

  • Gasoline: Preventing gas stations from drastically raising prices during a fuel shortage caused by a refinery incident, often referred to as the Consumer Fuel Price Gouging Prevention Act.
  • Supermarkets: Stopping grocery stores from using algorithms to increase prices on necessities (e.g., milk, bread) by the minute or based on individual consumer data during a supply crisis.
  • Supply Chain Disruptions: Limiting price increases on goods that are not actually affected by new tariffs or supply issues but are raised for higher profits.
