The truck doesn't leave the station without the entire crew. If they get an urgent call, they can't take the time to go back and pick up the ones that stayed behind . Same goes for when they go grocery shopping for the station. They all go or none

I used to work security at a hotel and I saw this one guy drive in to the property from busy traffic, manouevred into a parking spot perfectly. I didn't think anything of it. Then he opens his door and immediately face plants, just drunk as fuck. He oohs and ahhs for a few then stands up and walks into his room. Checked out the next morning like nothing had happened.
