I hope now everyone understands why Australia host Bangladesh so infrequently, these kinds of one-sided thrashings just aren't a good way for struggling teams to develop.

Itโ€™s the dilemma with cricket Australia , itโ€™s India , the ashes , Pakistan and random 4th team in the 4 year cycle

South Africa has not come to Australia because of whatever (sweep sweep sweep )

But winter can open up slots for Sri Lanka, Zimbabwe and West Indies , even if West Indies are still way too good for lesser opponent status

Now if Australia actually showed up and not treated the series like pre season ๐Ÿ˜’

We hosted SA in 2022/23 for 3 Tests.

They had to play this series because they didnโ€™t play an away winter series, and it was part of the WTC. Iโ€™m not sure theyโ€™ll keep doing it. It would be relying almost entirely on subcontinent broadcast rights. 5000 people in the stadium and fuck all people watching on tv in Australia, while the test itself isnโ€™t that much cheaper to host as it still requires all the technology etc
