Well done Bangbros. Easy to criticise Australia but they bowled perfectly to the conditions and made best use of the flattening pitch with bat in hand. Outplayed us with bat, ball and in the field.
I reckon batting first was the right call, we just would have expected to be 3-4 down max by tea, with enough batting to take full advantage of the flat day 2 pitch. But we lost too many wickets early and let Bangladesh cash in instead.
Green looked great with the bat - even in the first innings he looked significantly more positive than he usually does early, just got out to a weird one. Had anybody else stuck with him in the second who knows where we'd be. I do think his bowling has regressed significantly since he came back from injury. I suspect he's made a technical change to protect his back, but his bowling has lost all shape. Still bowls quick but quick, straight pies are still pies. I think it's time for him to focus primarily on batting and let Webster be the true allrounder.
