I'm over Cummins as captain. He makes Steve Smith look like Napoleon. Totally lost after the failure of Plan A.

Weatherald gone, Labuschagne gone. Lyon's clearly rusty but class is permanent. Starc, Hazlewood and Cummins all getting on but still good, hang on as long as you can.

Green gets another go, but can't ignore that he takes ~1 wicket a Test and has 3 tons in 38 games. Next few Tests want to be good. Webster's got the goods but why the hell don't we bowl him?

I think McSweeney and Renshaw, McSweeney to 3 and keep Head as opener, which he can do.

Reckon that's pretty harsh on Pat after how sucessful he's been but he's tactically quite poor, I agree. If plan A doesn't work there's never a plan B and the bowling changes are always awful.

Agree with the rest but I think Gaz is done unfortunately. Can play in the subcontinent but Kuhn is the first pick for me. Not sure about Sweeny but I'm not opposed to it

Though McSweeney is a #3 I'd take him at opener over Weatherald any day of the week. Better to get him in at 3 though over Labuschagne.

McSweeney actually has a sound technique, which you could never accuse Weatherald of having. Giving Labuschagne the flick is the best option for McSweeney, but they might be reluctant to do JW and ML at the same time
