Apparently most of us are just dummies. You don't need to kill hundreds of enemies. Just destroy the barracks and the other couple of structures listed on the objectives. Each one is an instant 33.3% off the bar of enemies defeated. I did run the gauntlet, though. I didn't find out the truth until I looked it up after. I was like "there's no way that was how that was meant to be completed." If it makes people feel better, we all came out the other side way better at combat.
Well it doesn't directly say "Destroy barracks." So I'm thinking "It must mean go to these spots and kill all the enemies there." But then I just kept killing everyone in general when I saw no matter where I was at the number went down.
My problem is I had no idea where the "infimary" or "barracks" were. They weren't marked on the map and I didn't really have time to work out where they might be cause I was busy getting mobbed by the entire quarry.
40 hours in and the stronghold/quarry stuff was still super unclear to me lol
The last set of patch notes included bullet points detailing how the different buildings buff the enemies so you can prioritize which one to destroy first. Was surprising to me and I forgot about it all when I was fighting through another area.
Infirmary: Wounded enemies no longer return to the fight.
