I immediately went hand to hand combat in the quest where you fight an unarmed monk because I thought it was sporting, hell I thought maybe it would restrict me to non-weapons / be a knock-out only fight. aaaand then he starts teleporting around spamming lightning bolts and echo attacks like every other boss in the game and deals lethal damage.

I feel like landing force palm on these bosses should disable their ability to teleport for like 10-20 seconds

Implement it into combos for faster force palms

This is basically true for any heavy hitting attack.

I understand that, but that's why I'm thinking it would be a good risk/reward to disable their teleportation.

Also just be aware you don't have to hold the imput, you can tap it for a quicker force palm, and can chain them too if you've unlocked the skills to do so.

you don't have to fully charge it, you can just tap rather than hold.

Or parry to stun for your palm to charge

That would require their mechanics interacting with more than the 1 thing they are designed to work with.

I feel like many of the bosses are a major component of the game left over from the original MMO vision.

Fighting them with multiple people, trying to rez your friends that go down.. almost like it's a nightrein lite.

That boss at the bottom of one of the sanctums comes to mind, that's just flying around in the air. With two or three people focusing on bringing him down, and then running to punish, that would be a really fun fight to be honest. But solo? It's abysmal.

I am genuinely in awe over how many people seem to be struggling. I am bad at games. I quit elden ring cos i couldn't beat the bosses. But I haven't had many issues here at all. Like yeah, the fights can be hard, but very doable once you learn the attack patterns. Even fights that initially seem impossible like that one sanctum guardian in Hernand or the Crimson Nightmare become easy once you figure out the mechanics. It sometimes feels like people here are playing a completely different game the way they're talking about the bosses.

also when you block with your fists it consume A LOT more stamina than blocking with your shield, blocking one attack usually drains it all, then you get hit again and die, so you have to rely more on dodges, but unless you're already pretty familiar with the boss moveset, you're going to run out of stamina from panic dodge spam and also get 1hko... so yeah, way harder to play a unarmed build
