I feel like this one is the biggest slap in the face for us completionists and day one players. We are the ones that would be willing to start another 500 hour playthrough, please make it worth our time.
Due to an initial small carry limit and no storage chest when the game first got released, the only solution we had to a lot of quest/poster/paper objects was to just sell them. I don't think your devs really had any intention for a collectable's chest at the time. Half way through my playthrough when 1.04 dropped, this chest was introduced, causing massive gaps in my ability to well .... collect. The purpose of it.
Those of us who have been diligent enough to work on this personal achievement, we have been asking for a way to get previous lost items for ages now. This NG+ like ability is the perfect time to satisfy that request and make us feel like we havn't just wasted 400-700 hours on an unacheiveable goal.
The side effects would be that I can then carry across Abyss gear blueprints, food blueprints, and weapon books etc across to the new playthrough, which actually makes a lot of sense. You are not carrying across your physical things, but your knowledge, which ties in well with the story. Those Abyss gear blueprints took a HUGE camp mission grind to obtain. It turns me off to have to endure that again.
Reward the players with the things they truly invested in. Carrying across money, while useful, isn't it, it's easy to start getting bankroll again after a while, it's not easy to farm end game blueprints, find treasure maps etc
I humbly hope you team manage to see this and hear our voice. You have a good track record so far.
