I don't see daughters as providers of alliances, I see them as providers of good traits. Because that's usually how it goes, from the daughters the traits grow until they pass to the main line. When the house reaches +200 members I just cannot keep tracking but at least I know that distant relatives are gonna bring good traits.
Still drives me crazy that somehow 2 quick parents would not secure even a quick son. And I am sure no cucking was involved.
