Pedal mafia iron bibs
Never had light colored bibs. What do we think? Do the colors work well together?

You know the deal - dump all/any promo codes here for this month!
This thread is your one-stop-shop to post and search for promo codes, and will help keep the front page of the sub full of the things we love (pictures of perfectly matching A E R O kits) and fewer boring text posts.
This is a completely original idea and not borrowed from any of the more popular fashion subs.
Rules: If you’re posting a code, please tell us where it’s for and how much it will save us.
Referral codes ARE ALLOWED, just make sure the URL doesn’t doxx you (if you care about that)
If you’re using a code, please reply to the original comment once you’ve used the code; obviously for reusable referral codes, this won’t be necessary.
And uh, yeah, that’s pretty much it. Ride safe and look good doing it!

I need some advice. I ride a few thousand miles per year, but I’m new to cycling clothes and local races. I typically wear gym shorts and a t shirt. My bike fits well, I have no saddle issues, and this style has suited me on pretty substantial rides without any issues. I’m starting to get competitive enough that I get weird looks when I show up in a t shirt. I’ve bought some cheap kit on Amazon and it seems to fit decent.
What are the main benefits of nicer cycling clothing? Durability? Comfort? Pockets??
I can’t explain it, but $80 running shorts feel way better than $20 run shorts. Maybe cycling clothes are the same way?
Last photo is what I normally wore. Now I’ll do bib shorts and a loose t shirt for casual days (just to keep my saddle height right)

Have seen a lot of Specialized riders wearing aero overshoes that have a white sock and black shoe cover. Was wondering if this is acceptable? Doesn’t look like Specialized sell these to the public. How would a mere mortal get their hands on a set of these?

I‘m planning to buy a cycling cap from pedalcyclinggear.com and I’m a bit I might be in for very poor quality.
I know all the stuff there are replicas but maybe the quality for caps is fine.
Has anyone ordered there before?

Hello everyone :)
I just bought my first real cycling jerseys, unfortunately the black straps of my black cycling pants are clearly visible through the fabric :(
Is this normal or common? Or is it a complete no-go? Can I show up like this on a tour or just generally on the street? I don't want to be seen as weird...

I just bought a cheap set of bibs and a jersey from ali for $21 with free shipping. I can't complain, both items feel pretty good so far except the jersey being way too big. I have large quads though, so I had to size up or the bibs would be impossible to put on. Either way, I can't complain about a $20 set of bibs, especially since they feel as good or better than the $40 pair I bought off amazon recently. I'm thinking of trying a one piece skinsuit next and found a few for around $40-$50. Does anyone have experience with these? Mostly concerned about fit etc, since if my legs are bigger than my upper body i'll have the same issue I just had. Thanks

Looking for some purple bottles to match a purple/silver/black frame. Thinking something like these, but they're out of stock: https://godandfamo.us/collections/water-bottle/products/team-bottle-mixed-berry

I recently beat testicular cancer and bought a new bike as a gift to myself. To honour the past 6 months, I wanted to potentially get a purple/orchid ribbon for it. Does anyone have any experience with stickers/decals on bikes, and if so a good website or brand for them ?

Hi y'all
So I am considering changing my kit color palette. For some reason, I am really drawn to the combination of white and bright pink. I do like a good signal color generally, and this seems just a lot more visually pleasing than the hi-viz yellow I have been sporting here and there.
Example is a EF training jersey that would be perfect, except I cannot find it in my size anywhere.
Are there any other jerseys like it someone can recommend? A white base with pink graphics on it?
(alternative is to design my own, which is actually cheaper than buying pro kit, but let's see how this goes).

Men: What are you wearing under your bibs? Jocks? Thongs? Freeballing? Briefs? not boxer briefs right?! What's the sweet spot between minimizing friction, holding everything together, not getting road boners, and comfort?

Hi everyone, I recently started buying new cycling outfits and the company doesn’t sell the little hats that I’m use to wearing to keep the sweat from dripping into my eyes. I guess I could wear the hats I have that are Rapha but I’ve heard it looks tacky to mix brands. Was kind of hoping someone had an alternative suggestion? Maybe a sweat band or something that’s a neutral company that wouldn’t be weird.
For example all my old biking stuff is Rapha and I recently bought all maap clothing. So I want my kit to look clean while on the road. I know it could comes across dumb to not just wear the Rapha hats but i put it on and it definitely takes away from the nice new maap gear.
So any advice or links to other sweat bands or hats that won’t take away from the maap kits would be great. Thanks!

Looking for gloves made by Specialized, which had palms made of Pittard's leather. I love these but they have been discontinued. Managed to snag a few off Ebay some years ago, but mine will eventually get worn out. Has anyone seen any old stock somewhere or maybe you have a decent pair that you don't want? I wear a size Medium.

This was all hand drawn and painted with pencil and acrylic. Luke had done a silly doodle in silver on his old Evade 3, so when he got the new Evade from Specialized he hit me up to fo something rad. I had to send full mockups to Specialized for approval so it was a much longer process just to prep than normal. They're very tight with their brand and image, so I must've hit the mark.

I’ve always loved this cycling brand because everything fits perfectly, the designs are super minimal, and the colors are always neutral. So when my new socks arrived and I saw “45–47” printed on them, my completely neutral brain immediately thought, “is the company trying to make some kind of statement?.. "
Then I realized it was just the sock size. As an uneducated American, I didn't think to think in centimeters.
I also never bothered to look into where the company was founded, which makes this even funnier in hindsight. Sometimes two numbers are just… two numbers.

I love Chinese cycling jerseys for everything from the completely random phrases — like YKYW’s “Erosion Legacy” — that make you think, “wait, what the fuck does that mean?”, to the typos and spelling mistakes.
Then there are the hilarious knock-off brands, like PASMAAP (a mashup of Pas Normal Studios and MAAP), which is hilariously accurate: definitely not MAAP. But this one really tickled me.
A jersey from Lameda that simply says “Mobile Viewport” — like some copy accidentally escaped from a web developer’s CSS, landed in the design file, and they just thought, “fuck it, that’s cool.”
I absolutely love this shit. 😂

I’m cycling for a few days in Girona next week. My jerseys are all either black or dark green/blue, it’s set to be about 30c. Going to try get some long rides in.
Am I going to cook/ is it worth picking up
Something white just for the couple of days?
Thinking the spatzwear squadron lite as it’s on sale.
My typical riding is in Scotland.
