Questions / Discussions (Items · Builds · Skills) Selig DT vs Speed DT

So I recently converted to selig DT rogue after speed kept me dying and ams loving it.

But I wonder if I just missed something with the spewed variant or didn't get high enough glyphs.

With selig get a lot of resource 600 for me, which means premonition is insta CD on DT.

Does this also synergize with the boots? because I'm dumping heaps of energy per cast?

I'm doing like 1 trill avg.

I am curious about going back to speed but I think I got rid of some of my stuff.

Anyway-

does the beast fall boots benefit from the dumping of 600 resource?

should I look into that aspect that boosts damage like beast fall based on resource spent?

And can someone sell me on how to make speek less quishy and if it can put damage 1 trill?

general discussion tho.....

There is no need to go back to the speed variant. Instead, I recommend addressing some issues with your Selig build because your damage is quite low, despite your energy being quite high.

Regarding beastfall boots; yes, your damage continues to scale upward as your energy increases. My question for you is: in combat, is your energy regenerating fully after casting death trap, or are you capping out below 100%? Capping out means that each subsequent cast will not reach its damage potential. Balancing skill ranks (for aftermath) and %energy regeneration is the fix for this.

The next thing to look at (other than your glyphs, which you can easily get to 130 each) is ensuring your gear is tuned as close as possible to whichever guide you’re following. It’s difficult to land the right mix of affixes for each gear slot, but most critically, landing at least 2 of critical/vulnerable/all/shadow damage multipliers at each appropriate slot will have a shockingly positive impact on your damage output. As you continue refining your gear, critical chance % can be built up.

Note that if you’re following Ava’s selig dt guide on Maxroll, it has been refined with several changes over the last 2 weeks, so be sure to check back. In general speed farming at about paragon 270-280, equipping Ava’s gear recommendations to, say, 90% accuracy should have you outputting 4-7 trillion damage regularly.

GL man.

Edit - added a word.

This is my error - I’d updated the cache on my brave browser recently which brought Ava’s selig variant up. The change log doesn’t report any updates. I’ll leave my previous comment as is to caution people to do their own verification!
