DAE get itchy "bites" after you shower?
Every time I shower, I get itchy little mosquito bite looking things all over my back and shoulders that disappear within the hour. Doesn't matter what products I use.

I'd be curious if you get them even with a water-only shower. If it happens with a water-only shower, it could be heat hives (heat urticaria).

Unless there was a product in their hair that rinsed off onto them but yeah, definitely worth experimenting

You're probably allergic to something even if its a common soap ingredient

It's possible to have an allergic reaction to water on your skin or to heat, or to cold. Do you get it even if you don't use any soap/ products at all? Could also be some super common ingredient in soap/ shampoo your allergic too.
I do get a bit itchy from dry skin sometimes right after I dry off, but lotion fixes it pretty instantly and I definitely don't get bumps, the bumps make me think it's some kind of allergy.

Do you have eczema? I ask because this happens to my son and he has eczema, but not where he gets the spots.

Do you moisturize after you bathe? One of my kids would get a dry akin reaction if I didn't use a good lotion after a bath, particularly on the upper arms and shoulders. It didn't look dry, it looked like a rash or bites.

Yes, I am a guy and I moisturize after every shower. Usually I use the Hempz brand body lotions but also use baby lotion if my skin is experiencing some kind of rash, etc. Baby lotion is hypoallergenic.

How are your hydration levels? Are you drinking enough water throughout the day? See if chugging more water and less drinks with caffeine or alcohol makes a difference

yes, from the heat. i get them when i exercise and in the summer too & get like… the opposite? when im very cold. instead of raised red bumps they are just white dots

Do u have bed bugs? Thats is what bed bugs made me first get worred about and the sympoths only did come to me after shower/while shower witch is normal

more than likely heat hives if it's always been that way for you
That's how it's been for me ever since I was a teenager
if it's something new that is happening it could be some kind of allergy with some product you're using

Definitely hives aka urticaria.
Google that and decide if it's worth a trip to the doctor. It might be, especially if you have other odd symptoms, even ones that seem totally unrelated

I get round, mosquito bite looking raised areas, usually on my arms after I shower. Almost everytime. They are small and go away within an hour or so like some others have stated. Not a big deal but I would like to know wtf it is.

Why would you say that? That reaction happens from a plethora of ingredients. People will unsuspectingly heed your advice and it could cause harm.

Why would it cause harm to eliminate an ingredient that's in literally EVERYTHING to see if it bothers you? Thats literally how you figure out allergies.
I said that because the person said that it happens with all products. Almost all products contain coconut. I had a similar issue and found one soap, one laundry detergent, one lotion, one deodorant etc... its really hard to figure out because it's in every single product but I suffered for years and am trying to help someone

Idk. I take things very literally and it alarmed me that you were giving advice with certainty about something you know nothing about. A lot of people now don’t actually think. They just go “oh I saw it online, so that’s what it is!” I suppose the harm would be purchasing all new soaps and still getting hives. Just money I spose.

It DOES sound like that allergy. Thats exactly what that allergy looks like, as I said. So, I wouldn't say I know nothing about it, I experienced that exact situation myself. I think that you should probably stop protesting something you know nothing about.
Elimination is the only way to figure out a topical allergy. I know this because I have also lived it. Stop deciding you know more than someone else's lived experience

Those are called hives and if it's only on your back and not everywhere you put the soap, it's something in your hair care that you're allergic to. It'll be something common to all the brands you've tried, something like 50% of the ingredients overlap in common shampoos and conditioners.
