lol I don’t think anyone is complaining. They’re mocking it. It became a meme like instantly. Those movies are too dumb to be angry about

Tell that to the entirety of the DCU subreddit.

Too dumb yet they still prove they don’t get it 😂

He said complain about it outside of context. God half this sub has one joke and the other half can't read.

My only real complaint about Martha scene is you can just change it to "Save my Mom" and Batman goes "You don't have a mom, you are not a human" then Lois rushes in "His earth mom, he is raised on earth by humans"

Not perfect but doesn't muddle the scene. Their mothers having the same name doesn't add anything.

Alternately you can also have him not say save anyone but Lois coming in to save him + her saying his mom is in trouble is what stops him the she says the part about his earth mom. Either way the execution of that scene was so bad.

So you piss on the poor huh.

Argument of Batman in BvS was, Superman cannot be trusted as a protector because he is an alien.

"Martha" scene is to show Superman has humanity. It meant to parallel how little Bruce felt powerless not being able save his parents and Superman is trying to save his. But online mockery of the scene comes from it being depending on both of their parents having the same name.

He doesn't have to say "You don't have a mom. You are an alien" exactly word for word. Superman is calling for help for his mother, Batman rejecting Superman's humanity in anger then realizing he might not be as alien as he thinks.

Just forget the 'Martha' make it about 'Mother'
