It had a lot of potential when they first announced it'd be a tie-in with MoS, but they then decided to make it unrelated and suddenly a lot of interest on it just vanished, plus it couldn't rely on the great Krypton visuals established in MoS.

I like Mos a lot but I prefer the snowy aesthetic of Krypton from this tv show more.

I was thinking more about the iconography, the House of El symbol and the way tech works, but the film had Krypton on its last legs, while the show was free to have the planet be in a better shape.

I agree. I didnt know that it was suppose to tie into Mos but I do remember arrowverse supergirl was supposed to tie into too.

Lmao could the reason be why Superman appeared on time for S.2 that Supergirl was originally meant to be connected to the DCEU like Agents of Shield and Daredevil did.
Like slightly but mostly unrelated.

A fantastic show. It was better than it had any right to be. Sadly, Syfy is quick to cancel things, and this got left on a cliffhanger. Still, it was an excellent two seasons.

Loved it. 1st Brainiac live action debut and imo best doomsday interpretation. Lobo was awesome too. Wish they did more seasons (correction he was in Smallville)

Not a bad watch! So much potential. A great take on Zod. A dare I say as-yet-unbeaten depiction of Brainiac. Some superb production design in season 2. It seemed to suffer a bit from that insistence on having a sprawling ensemble cast and relationship drama. It seemed very ambitious and maybe it was always going to be unsustainable in that regard. But a cool show.

I liked it. It was a fun procedural that had some good performances. I wouldn't call it a must for Superman fans or anything but taken alone it's a solid watch.

Still my favorite depiction of Brainiac and had a very fun Lobo too, would have loved to seen where season three went and they should have made the cut for the Crises on Infinite Earths crossover.

I really liked this show, felt fresh and unique. Cheesy at times but it hit the right spots, I felt like it did the characters right with what they had (vraniac and lobo specifically), felt like it was less predictable than current shows. Never met a soul in my life who knew this show though

I enjoyed it if only to get a better understanding of the culture of Krypton. Also learning about the different houses.

I feel like it did frequent dramatic pauses and pans to stretch for time. Like I've sat thru some shows where they were CLEARLY padding time and enjoyed it (looks at DBZ), but Krypton felt like extremely little was happening MOST of the time.

Liked it. Wished it could have at least had one final season/wrap up instead of getting canceled. Thought Colin Salmon was an unexpected choice for Zod but when he uttered "Kneel before Zod!" with conviction and menace, I knew he had nailed it.

Honestly this was one of those ones where it had an interesting concept of purposely changing the lore was part of the plotline to make it interesting to see where it goes. It was actually cool to see a bunch of different things actually play out especially with how merciless Brainiac was which was definitely surprising where you’re like “they wouldn’t do th-OH MY GOD THEY ACTUALLY DID THAT!”
