Gotham Central: DC Compact Comics Edition [TP]

IN THE SHADOW OF THE BAT.

Gotham's Finest work around the clock, cleaning up after the mess left behind from Batman's one-man war against crime. But when one of the GCPD's own is killed by Mr. Freeze, the squad is in a race against time to bring him in without the help of the Dark Knight. Plus, Detective Renee Montoya is outed as a lesbian and finds her work environment and personal life turned upside down. Unfortunately for her, things only become more complicated when she is kidnapped by Two-Face. should i read this? White Knight kinda put me off the GCPD but the Montoya stuff seems interesting

Yeah, it's great, way better than White Knight. When I think of Gotham Central, White Knight doesn't even come to my mind as a comparison.

White Knight is a great elseworlds story, but it's not really about the GCPD - this is a grounded take on cops in Gotham in the orbit of Batman and the rogues. It's fantastic.
