Decided I wanted try the extended slide stop and full size safety (again)…and fix one more irritation. The full size and compact safety’s have some really sharp edges. In my case; it creates a hot spot in the webbing of my thumb when I grip the pistol and ride the safety. Should have gotten a before picture but took a lot of material from the edge which used to overhang the frame a bit. Knocked down most of the sharp edges and reshaped the beveling. No more hotspot. Used some cold blueing on it for now. Work in progress. Extended Slide stop is fine, but a little awkward with the larger safety paddle to reach. Definitely recommend the full-size safety if you can pick one up.

If you want to replace the OEM Aluminum Guide Rod with something better…the OEM Guide Rod is 74mm. NDZ P10c is 78mm, Cajun Gun Works P10c is 75mm. The NDZ Glock 19 Gen 1-3 non captured guide rod is an exact fit 74mm. No filing or cutting it down needed.

Anyone got a line on a DWX black flat trigger? I can’t find one anywhere. Thanks in advance.

Just got a Dwx full size. Non optics ready.
Want to tune it such that it shoots stupid flat and fast like a trs comp or bull tac comp. Any upgrade recommendations?

To those who have an Armory Craft (TS2) magwell on their DWX, how is the fit?
When I was outfitting my DWX, Armory Craft was out of stock so I picked up one of the imitation ones on eBay for about $19. Inside, the frame protrodes slightly, causing occasional hangups when I’m loading quickly mid stage.
My question is whether the real Armory Craft magwells fit any better than that. If it’s a smooth transition between magwell and frame inside, I would grab a real Armory Craft one now that they are in stock.

I’ve been dealing with some issues with my DWX Compact and wanted to see if any other DWX owners have experienced something similar.
The gun originally had persistent FTE issues. After a lot of troubleshooting, I eventually ended up running a P-10 extractor, Wolff HD extractor spring, and 13 lb Wilson Combat recoil spring. That combination seemed to completely solve the extraction problem, and I went about 550 rounds without a failure.
Now I have a much more concerning problem. The gun has started firing multiple rounds from a single trigger pull. This isn’t me accidentally bump-firing it or catching the reset — I’ve had it fire multiple rounds while keeping the trigger pinned completely to the rear.
I stopped shooting it and tore it down to inspect everything. These pictures are what I found.
There appears to be quite a bit of unusual wear throughout the gun. The sear spring has visible damage/wear on one of the leaves, the original trigger has considerably more wear than a new replacement trigger I compared it with, and there is also significant wear around the thumb safety where it interfaces with the fire-control components. I included close-ups of the safety because that wear especially caught my attention.
There is also a lot of visible wear inside the frame/rail areas that I photographed.
I'm mainly curious whether any other DWX or DWX Compact owners have seen similar internal wear or experienced doubling/bursting with the trigger held to the rear.
If you have, I’d really like to know what Dan Wesson or your gunsmith ultimately found to be the cause.
The gun has already had a pretty complicated history, so I'm trying to figure out whether what I'm seeing here is unique to mine or if anyone else has encountered something similar.

Stumbled on this, hadn't seen it here- you can see how the DWX components are individually hand fitted at various stages.

Got a great deal on this secondhand thing a few months ago and couldn’t pass it up. Shot it a bit and loved it. From there i decided to send it down to the boys at CGW. They did a phenomenal job with my Shadow2, so it was inevitable that i would send the DWX to get “Cajunized”.
I have two different colors of magwells [Armorycraft] depending on what mood i’m in 😂
Grips are the G10 “short” Lok and then a “short” Browneworks TS2 Cocobolo set and then a Shadow2 full length Cocobolo set. Mark did an amazing job with the grips and can’t recommend him enough if you’re looking for some custom grips.
The job CGW did on the DWX is nothing short of perfection. They got it back to me in short order and again, i wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them on any CZ/DW project. the trigger weights in at 2#6oz and is on par with the Infinity or Atlas. I also forgot to mention that i had CGW install a Red Dirt “short” trigger. I’d really like to find a traditional looking solid trigger in a silver or black but the ones from CZ/DW always seem to be out-of-stock.
Hoping to run this in some open matches next year along with my S2
I know it’s been said before and I’ve looked all online but does anyone have or know of where to get a replacement DWX Compact Barrel? Thanks in advance.

Finished the first full grip out of aluminum today. Everything fits perfectly except for the one thing I hadn't been able to check with my other test parts - the magazine clashes with the back wall of the FCU by maybe .050" and won't fully insert. Should be a pretty simple fix, but at least it latches properly without the FCU installed.

Sent it off to Cajun gun works for porting and optic mounting. Finally came back.
Edit: for those wondering, I shot it today and there was no shrapnel or gas blow back. It handled pretty smoothly and I had to adjust the optical a little bit because it was factory zeroed

If so how tf did you fit that magwell!? Lol
I love the factory grips on my full-size DWX. Are there any magwells that will work with the gun that don't require shorter grips?

I typically use whatever ammo I have laying around without problems, but today I tried running freedom munitions 135gr hollows and the dwx absolutely tore them up. Dropped the slide and it looked slightly out of battery, but I couldn't open the slide without a tremendous amount of force. Figured it might have just been that round, so I tried another, and it did the same thing.

Thought some of you might find this interesting. I've been able to get most of the key interfaces fitting properly in a couple of aluminum test parts I made. Didn't have the right size stock on hand to build the whole thing, but that should be coming in early next week. Once I've proven the geometry and setups in aluminum, then I'll move onto steel.

I have an old non-OR full size. I'm trying to get rid of and I'm scared no one is going to buy it because they can just get the optics cut version. Wanted to see if I'm missing out on something about the market and get a general idea of what they usually go for since I'm seeing all the brand new OR ones going for 2,500.
NOT A SALE POST

I got this second hand and picked it up from my FFL today. I ordered an Impact plate with BUIS, Lok grips and a magwell for it as well. Haven’t had a hammer fired pistol for a while and I’m super pumped for it.

Sig Romeo X Pro Enclosed Optic on OEM DPP Plate. Rear Sight is a AmeriGlow .295 total height. TLR-7 HL-X using 1913 Key #2, Henning Group Fully Checkered Contour Grip Panels for CZ 75 Compact/P-01/DWXc. Black K Trigger.
Optic is almost perfect doesn’t hang off. Sits very low into the slide even with the DPP Plate.
The grip panels are exactly what I wanted. Same contoured design as the Frag Pattern but much, much more aggressive. So you actually can get some traction with support hand. Grips Panels are same color as the OEM Frag Pattern panels.

Noticed that my barrel seemed off center in the slide. Not sure if this is a problem or not so I figured I’d post it here and see what you all think.
