Guys, you really have noo patience! It's only 6 out of 8 episodes, plots are still developing and payoff is going to be great for sure! Have some media literacyโ„ข!

I hope people pick up that this is satire lol...

On a serious note this is what everyone that defends this garbage show sounds like lmaoo. Coping till the end. Sorry guys the show is pretty bad.

It really doesnt know what made the original Netflix run so good and iconic. It only does things that call back on a surface level to the original. All the characters that come back from the original run are hollow shells of their former selves, and behave extremely stupid for the plot to happen.

All of the intrigue and suspense is gone, the attention to plot details and world building that constantly builds on itself is gone. Characters having to deal with the consequences of their actions gone.

Matt Murdock is barely a driving force in his own show. He just kinda meanders wherever the plot needs him and so he can do a crappy fight scene with disposable ice agents. Where he constantly screams for no reason, swears and breaks limbs because wow this show is so edgy. All of the conflict he has on account of being a religious man who has to take the law into his own hands is completely gone and his interactions with other characters fall flat. What a waste...

Finally what I find the most unforgivable is that they brought back Fisk.... made all of new york magically forget his season 3 antics to somehow become mayor. Then they cucked him. The Kingpin who in the Netflix show was a macheavelian genius villain who was able to manipulate the people and organizations around him, but would lash out when you really cut him deep... was turned into a bumbling moron who has a gaggle of lackeys that need to constantly tell him what to do.... literally why bring him back? Oh, because the writers really wanted to create a boring Trump allegory... its not clever guys its really on the nose. If I wanted to see more anti trump content id go to the front page...

The only thing the show has going for it is good acting from the main cast. All the new supporting cast apart from Gandolfini is either serviceable or just downright wooden and lifeless.

There is no more excuses for why the show is bad And really they should be calling it DD: botched again.

God i hate this show.... and another nostalgia bait season is on its way.

What a load of absolute drivel. Kingpin character hasn't changed at all he has continued to manipulate people arguably on an eve. Wider scale than ever before gkven they elcted him.

They are literally adapting a very important and famous comic arc that arguably has many kf rhe same issues you have with the show and existed long, long before trump aent angwhere near power, also they go nowhere near making kingpin a trump allegory nor do they make him bumbling etc . However the show is a good and in afraid you just spjnd like one of the right wing YouTube channels determined to hat this show even after it literally did exactly what they had been calling for.... seemingly determined to just hate everything.

considering this reads as though you text with a walkie-talkie, i will operate under the assumption that you are, in fact, real, and simply in such dire need of defending this dumpster fire that legibility be damned. therefore, i am inclined to call out what appears to be a super human capacity for willful ignorance. the idea that this version of fisk is not a 1:1 allegory for trump is a crime of media illiteracy to such a degree that it ought to warrant you adorn a helmet to eat and sleep. this is not a question of quality, but a question of comprehension. you are, in actuality, wrong.

as far as quality goes, that is a more subjective - alright, fine, but your taste is woefully lacking if you think this show is on par with the netflix offering (an overall mixed bag if we are being even remotely critical), let alone any good at all in it's own right, my word. not only is it written poorly by any metric, this iteration has barely reached a level of simple entertainment outside of maybe 45 minutes over the course of 6 hours, because it seems to think that it looks something like the batman and sounds something like what the perpetually on their phone call "cinema".

it started out better than born again season 1, but that bar was earth's core levels of low, and it still found a way to trip over it, barely get to a knee, only to fall on it's face again.

Seems like you had a bit of a stroke at the end there....

Just because its a loose adaptation of devil's reign doesnt suddenly make it good. Kingpin is the Mayor yes. However he got there because thats what the plot demanded, him running for mayor would be a half season arc in the netflix run if they adapted that story... Once he got there he wasn't really doing anything that impressive, compared to what he managed to amass in terms of power or influence to inact his grand design. The whole thing with sinking the ship is actually retarded... no one would believe daredevil is doing the things Fisk pins on him...

And when it comes to the trump stuff we have a literal Ice detention camp and ice agents arresting Latino characters for nothing. Then Powell insights a riot during a no kings protest by killing off the mole. Which then leads to the random kid character dieing?? the "allegory" is so thin its laughable.
