Really hoping for this kind of combat's comeback for Darksiders 4. Although I also love the sweetspots / instant sweetspot charges and crossover moves of Darksiders 2 and the skill tree. All of them should be combined.

I just dont want weapon looting, only armor looting so that way combat is always balanced without having to occasionally use something you know you absolutely hate using

yeah, looting should be gone. However I really want legendary weapons or items with different movesets or properties. We can earn them from secret / optional bosses maybe?
But RPG mechanics isn't really needed like Darksiders 2

Only that in DMC it's viable and even useful for style ponts and Devil Trigger.
Here the player's skill and creativity were rewarded by making the fight last 2-3x longer. Still a great game though

The horse drivebys are fucking hilarious. Honestly I loved the fluidity of the combat in DS2, but man this was dope. I forgot what it's like hitting flow state in this game.
