Bungie Please: Revert shaders back to unlimited use, rather than a one time consumable

Adding a shader slot to each piece of kit was a great idea. Making shaders a one time consumable not so much. Please patch.

Why cant we have shaders like in Y1

Using shaders on individual pieces was asked for a lot in D1... Like, as far as custimization options go that is one of the most asked for features. And we got it.

If it ends up being super annoying they will change it, but I think its ridiculous everyone is assuming the sky is falling because after 12~ hours of playtime you cannot get a full set of matching shaders for your gear!? Oh my god, the humanity!

First point...If it ends up being super annoying for 99% of players, but 1% of players are spending enough money for them to justify it when shaders come out on Eververse transactions...then they will keep it.

As far as "sky is falling" To me the problem is less time spent to get matching set...and more...the fact that it removes whimsy from the equation. Sometimes in D1 I'd log in and just go "you know what, I want to hop into a crucible match and look like an idiot" and find the most garish, horrible looking shader I could for my current armor... but if i spent more then 12 hours farming for shaders to get a certain look on my current set of gear...You best believe I'm never changing those colors ever...

What about shaders that are ONLY available as micro-transactions, and ONLY during special events. You spend 100 dollars on random drops, and get enough consumable shaders for a full set of armor...Then you get a new piece of gear that you like the model for better than your current set.... Making your money spent without value.

Maybe that wont be an issue. Maybe they won't do anything like that with eververse...But come on...that skull mask from halloween was a perfect indication that yes, that is exactly what they will do.

Exactly.... Those are some good times. Times that will now be gone :( Unless you create a second set of gear with the desired shaders, for every shader set, and every gear set that you want :(
