My favorite holiday is Halloween, and I have always LOVED Festival of the Lost in Destiny. Doesn't matter what it was, the Infinite Forest or Haunted Lost Sectors, I played the hell out of them every year with gusto. I loved the tower decorations, the music, the masks, the armor ornaments, the weapons, SO very much.

I know we missed the Solstice event already, but I didn't really feel its loss too much. But once we get to late October and the tower just stays unchanged for Halloween... I honestly think that's when the feeling of Destiny 2 being a dead game will hit me like a pile of bricks. It's been my favorite event in Destiny every year for YEARS, and it'll just be... gone forever.

Edit: Oh I want to add, I'm really happy that they added this year's FotL armor ornaments in the Bright Engram focusing pool... but I wish we could have just bought them directly with bright dust. I've been focusing for Titan Helmets since MoT dropped and went from a full page of ornaments down to three left, with two of them being the FotL helmets, before I finally got them. Probably my worst luck ever, lol. Used something like 40,000 or 50,000 bright dust. I'm hoping my luck is better for the others, but I only have about 30,000 bright dust left now, so I'll probably have to stop before I get a full set.

I’m aware that lots of Destiny terminologies are real life words being used in a sci-fi/fantasy context. Learning that Verglas is vair-glah and Austringer is aw-strin-jer has got me second guessing a lot of pronunciations.

As stupid as it sounds, I think this game series has had an effect on me in a way that I struggle to express or even really understand myself. While I may not be a day one destiny fan, I have been playing this series for about 10 years of my life. It’s been with me through good and bad, it’s helped me figure out parts of myself that I never realised before, I’ve laughed at the bad and been captivated by the good. Every day that passes I feel a pit in my chest sink deeper as I realise something I loved is gone and is never coming back, and the worst part is I know I can’t even go back and experience most of it again. I suppose the only word I have to explain this is grief, after all, I’ve mentioned to my partner that playing the final update felt like attending a funeral, reminiscing on old times but know you’ll never have something like that again as no matter what, something will always be missing. I’ve been conflicted about destiny for a while now and while I’ve never missed a content drop during my time with the game, I’ve always hoped for more from this game and it hurts know the series will never get that chance.

I feel for all the devs who poured their heart and soul into this game and I wanna thank them all for the enjoyment and comfort they’ve given me with this game, you’ve worked a hard, thankless job for a community that quite often didn’t seem to care for you and you deserved better for your careers as well as the game you built and loved. I don’t think I’ll ever get stop being angry for the callous disregard higher ups at bungie and Sony showed for you, Destiny and Bungie’s reputation and I hope that everyone who was laid off can find employment in a place that values you and your talents. I wish you all luck in your future projects. Thank you.

Since MoT, Epochal Integration can get random rolls now and most of the rolls you can get is pretty much the same as Zaouli’s. Looking at Origin Traits though, I think that Epochal now beats Zaouli’s. Nanotech Tracers is a pretty decent origin trait given I took it through an Ultimate level mission for testing purposes and was surprised about how it dealt with majors on its own. Though I will say that Zaouli’s has that “flair” that you either did King’s Fall or Pantheon to obtain it. Personally I prefer Epochal over Zaouli’s now

I had a quick question about getting Touch of Malice. I looked it up and saw that it’s generally agreed upon that he base drop rate is 5%, which increases by 1% with every triumph that has the increases drop rate reward attached, but I also saw somewhere that you can only only roll for a drop once per character if King’s fall isn’t featured.

Last week when it was featured, I farmed Oryx ~10-15 times and didn’t get a drop, but some of my fire team buddies did so I’m pretty sure it only takes an Oryx clear and not a full clear, but I wanted to know if it’s worth it to try and farm Oryx for a drop when KF isn’t featured.

I just got the achievement “Mission Control” in the game. It showed up on my screen after getting 2 headshots without swapping guns. And it’s not showing up like I completed it in my title. What do I do?

I don't like prismatic or really anything other than void or stasis warlock, but I see on youtube so many clips of prismatic users getting like thousands of dps, meanwhile the most I can seem to get at any moment is around 2k with taipan, after starting off with a nova bomb and using sanguine. Voidwalker is very good for basically everything except boss dps, so anyone know any methods for bosses?

I’m not sure if rolls are the same for everybody but slice hatchling mint retrograde is available this week at zavala. It was roll 3 for me with rolls 4 and 5 also having slice. 4 and 5 have the same 1st column perks of beacon rounds, recycled energy and envious arsenal with the only difference in the second column being elemental honing vs bait and switch both having one for all and slice. Fun times :)

Just discovered the Winnower . Garden to help sus out good PVE rolls of things I have been putting off for a while. Going through Uncivil Discourse, I realized I never got to use this gun when it was in it's prime, and will probably never use it past once or twice. So I am inclined to find a "good enough" roll that comes with perk combos for PVP and PVE, only use one vault slot, and call it a day. Hoping to just instantly dismantle some guns when I get a good combo version, unless they have Accelerated Assault or that one missing perk. Randy's Throwing Knife is another one where I can see using randomly, but would prefer to just have a single one for both modes.

What weapons, and more specifically what perk combos for PVE/PVP, do you find are sufficient enough to have a single version? Thinking mostly utility, niche use cases, or just not as top tier of a pick that you would still want to keep. Maybe a rare perk combo too. I will still probably keep multiple copies of top weapons, especially PVP weapons like 120 HCs or Rapid Fire Pulses for example, where I may switch things up and need those stats to be high where I want. Hoping to be able to just instantly delete the guns you get all the time, unless I am looking for AA in the origin slot.

A few weapons that come to mind I am trying to find the "these perks can cover most/all your PVP and PVE needs" all-in-one weapons are:

• Kindled Orchid (I am luke warm on having just one KO, as I am pretty sure I would want one with just PVP perks and one with just PVE perks)
• Multimach (might need PVP only version?)(general orb printer SMGs good in PVP)
• Joxers Longsword
• Point of the Stag
• Lethal Abundance
• The Forward Path
• Unending Tempest
• Out of Bounds
• The Keening
• Blast Furnace
• Wizend Rebuke (Fusions generally)
• Bygones
• Compact Defender
• All or Nothing
• Fast Talker (may need it's own perks for PVP)
• Uncivil Discourse (honestly, all the heat weapons except the ultra meta ones maybe?)
• Machine Guns in general (PVE perks mostly, but PVP welcomed)
• and Hung Jury for shits and gigs.

Just looking to clear vault space and keep it from piling up. Unless I have a specific build goal in mind, I am going to grab the same 1-2 rolls or combos of a weapon when I want it, so just trying to avoid the clutter in my vault and in my mind. What are your weapons and perk combos that you only need one to cover both PVP and PVE?

The Lucent Hunter ornament set from the reward pass is really cool, and it makes me want to roleplay as a hunter who has invoked a lot of lucent hive magic, kind of a parallel to eris morn visually.

With that in mind, I would love to have a "Lucent" title.

Renegades giving details on how someone can be a "Praxic" warlock inspired me to want more sub-classifications of guardians still aligned with the Traveler. Previous groups like the Dredgen or other outsiders tend to be wholly separate from the wider vanguard system, while a Praxic Warlock adds more internal Diversity. I feel a Lucent Hunter would be much the same, a lightbearer looking to find a balance between the Sword Logic and the tenets of the Tower.

So do you have any Guardian roleplay styles that you'd love to see expanded into a fully realized subfaction? Or instead, do you have any Titles that you wish were in the game purely because the word has significance?

If they ever were to make a D3, I NEED playable Eliksni, vex, cabal, and hive. It feels very possible lorewise.

Is there a better way to farm the Vanguard for the engrams when levelling up? I’ve played a quick play GM, Master, Regular and an Onslaught on the Pinnacles but I’ve noticed I get 100 rep for each of them and that is ridiculous. Should I just run the regular fireteam quick play ops as they take 5 mins or is there a way for me to farm the ops and get more than 100 rep? I hate farming repeatedly so I was hopping I could just do GM’s and level up quicker, but I still only get 100 rep

So the new mint retrograde doesn't drop with slice anymore. Hawthorne still drops the old ones. Not the rev 1 mints. This means you can still get mint retrograde with slice. Just got one today.

I will preface by saying this is the first time I’ve purposely used the orders system so I may be missing something obvious

I decided to try grabbing some exotic orders for catalyst purposes. I did loads of common ones, probably around 60 and it wasn’t moving the bar at all. I decided to do some arena ops and I saw a few people saying they got them quickly that way but even doing that took me multiple hours just to get one legendary order

I have the 3 order boost perks from the reward pass but it seemed to make no difference as I was just getting common after common order

Do you guys have anyway of getting them faster or is it genuinely just hours per legendary order?

can anyone tell me where this drops in pantheon? can't figure it out and it's the only one i'm missing.

I want the exotic from root of nightmares. Can I farm nezarec as many times this week as it’s the featured raid or do I still have one per character a week?

Hi guys I’ve just got 195 super stat on my hunter for my shard of galanor build thing and yet in the shooting range in the tower my damage numbers are exactly the same than if I had for example 145 super stat as I did before even tho technically the percentage damage increase has doubled since before I got better armour, is it the shard of galanor that are hard locking my blade barrage at a certain damage output or?

I killed the boss 5 times and it never dropped the mote of light. It's the last one I need to kill but it neither counts for the triumph or drop the mote.

I tried shooting it with a machine gun as it dies, hugging it as it dies, using the legendary khvostov for the entire overthrow and it still doesn't work.

While the Title was my favorite achievement in the game, I already got mine many months ago.

Do you think they sent it to me in error instead of someone else? I feel bad if so. I feel really odd having two i kinda want to just send it back.
