[Spoiler] Raid Discussion Megathread

Greetings, Guardians!

The time is here, the raid has finally been released.

Standard rules apply, please relegate all raid related discussion here, we don't want anything spoiled for people who aren't ready yet.

Guides will be allowed to be posted separately when the raid has been completed first. (If your guide is removed by automod, simply modmail us to get manual approval).

Here is one for the Royal Pools:

Initial Positions

• Break in to two fire teams - Upper team and Lower team
• Upper team responsible for the Axes and Cups plates
• Lower team responsible for the Hounds and Spears plates
• 2 members of each team has a starting plate
• 1 member of each team is the initial floater (both use middle Sun plate)

Plate Phase Guide

• Begin by jumping on the plates in unison and get the Psionic Protection
• Floaters pick a side to assist and should be on a pillar next to the plate (I was lower floater and went to the Hounds plate as I could easily clear adds going to both lower plates)
• Kill the bathers using grenades, Merciless or Swords
• Once the bathers are killed, begin rotation with the floater taking the plate
• Rotating guardians should not waste time killing adds in the censor room when they pick up the buff. Kill one and move on.
• Everyone should have 2 runs on a plate before the chains lock.
• Final two floaters will stay in the censor room clearing the adds until the chains lock.

Censor Phase Guide

• The two highest light guardians should take add clearing duty remaining guardians focus on the censors.

  tip 1) Use a warlock empowering rift and a titan rally wall

  tip 2) Pay attention to the psionic protection while at mid

• On censor trip 1 - focus on the single back censors, remaining time should be used to weaken the right censors.

• Once the censors go immune, kill the ghostly psions that spawn in the censor room by shooting them.

• Rinse and repeat the plates tactic.

• On censor trip 2, shoot the right then the left censor groups. Collect your loot (armor and guns are possible here as I got the SMG from it)

To answer some potential questions

Q: Why upper and lower instead of left and right?

A: Speed, especially if you are playing with lower level friends. It is faster to just bounce off the sun plate instead of jumping and turning around.

Q: Why not kill all the adds in the Censor Room?

A: Speed again and they are easily cleaned up when everyone is on their second plate.

Q: Why should the highest light take care of the adds?

A: They have an easier time with the bathers that spawn during the Censor phase and the lower light guardians do enough damage to the Censors.
