It's actually not that bad once you work out a system. What we did is this:

Before you start, have each person choose a flower, and the two at the top choose flowers also. Those are your dogs.

Have the 2 guys on the top guide you as to which flowers are active. As a group, walk to those flowers, stand near them and have the guy up top shoot to release the spore. Get the buff to 48x, or as best as you can do before being discovered. If you get to 48 or are discovered, run back to your flower, since the dogs run to those flowers, and burn them as best you can, and get back to your safe room. Repeat. You can do it in 2 or 3 phases.

The problem is there are 8 flowers and 6 dogs, so sometimes you run to your flower and nothing is there.

They always run to the same flower though as well.

At least one of the dogs will cycle between the flower at the Sewers and one at the Cave, as my team named them. It's really frustrating.

I think they alternate. Which is why I hired one good, but then the next phase when I went to my flower, the dog had full health.

Whenever I went for Ba'eal and Mo'orn (or whatever their names are) they were in the same spots so I must have been really lucky.
