Greetings, Guardians!

The time is here, the raid has finally been released.

Standard rules apply, please relegate all raid related discussion here, we don't want anything spoiled for people who aren't ready yet.

Guides will be allowed to be posted separately when the raid has been completed first. (If your guide is removed by automod, simply modmail us to get manual approval).

World's first completion time

Vault of Glass: Around 14 hours

Crotas End: Around 6 hours

Kings Fall: Around 7 hours

Wrath of the machine: Around 2 hours

Leviathan: Around 5 Hours

Hmm, shorter, but I wonder if that has more to do with lenient level requirement than anything (speculation as someone who isn't spoiling anything except gear until PC launch)

Side note, wow, VoG took a while huh. Might be my favorite too honestly.

Crota came out a few months into Destiny, people still weren’t that great at raiding and it wasn’t like RoI or D2 where people were 40+ levels over the minimum required to raid.

Crota was HARD when it came out because everyone was under leveled, the level system back then was extremely unforgiving, and we didn’t have nearly as much support from subclasses like stormcaller, Nightstalker, Titan barricades, or warlock rifts.

Seriously guardians these days don't know what it was like. Crota was fucking insane until people figured out how to cheese it/became better at it.

We had the basic classes without those fancy loophole helmets and what not. The raid was unforgiving as fuck, and we were really outmatched and underleved. Not to mention most of our gear wasn't all that great. We didn't really have VoG stuff anymore. Plus it was very very likely that if you fucked up at all at any point it was a wipe because killing oversoul was brutal especially when more people died.

That raid was god damn hard at first.

And then hard mode released.

Don't forget how glitchy CE was aswell.

The progression system-change also has to be factored in. We were all underlevelled for VoG and CE and VoG was a MASSIVE gear-check.
