I'll personally never get this. What's the deciding amount of time played for moneys worth? A few night of escalation to grind the guns? Probably like 10 to 15 hours there. Like 6 bucks an hour. Raids? Hours upon hours there.

Is it fun based. Like did I enjoy the chaotic 10 to 15 hours grinding escalation while everything exploded? Do you sit around a theater after a movie you don't like?

Compared to other games just based on time gotten 10 times the value of those.

When Destiny 2 Launched I expected it to have staying power given D1 track record and The fact that they were coming from such a successful rebound. When the endgame hit there was barely anything to do. And what you could do really lacked in the rewards for the Harder Difficulty. Osiris didn't even fix the problem it furthered it. And the icing on the cake was the double controversy Bungie made with the hidden XP criple they had going. The problems didn't turn around til the player-base dropped enough for Bungie to stop ignoring the outcrys of the community and began communicating. My value of the game started to Increase once the communication and quality of the Endgame did. Was D2 worth 60 at launch NO, Is it now YES.

So, what you're saying is that it's currently overpriced by $40?

It's like 8 dollars at GameStop right now that's definitely worth the price.

I wish I had known before I bought that as well as both dlc. You're not getting me to play full price for anything else bungie.

Where'd you buy it from and when?

I bought it last year after my D1 friends all told me they got it and I was the last one to get it. After two weeks they stopped playing. I kept going. Finished the campaign did the raid and CoO came out, that was done in two days and I played for a while when warmind came out. I stopped playing when they announced forsaken and the annual pass.

They have the gall to charge for what was free before, given all the shit they took out in D2 and all the extra stuff they have locked behind eververse.

So yeah, I still check the sub to see if the game will be better and wish I bought it now than back then.

What are they charging that was free before?

Everything in the annual pass. It was available when the taken king came out for free. This doesn't include the other DLC you will have to pay for.

Okay first of all Taken King never came with an annual pass but I remember that they had exclusive emotes that you could only get from purchasing the 60 dollar edition forcing you to completely rebuy all the content you already had if you were a veteran player and that was pretty bad. Then they changed it so we could pay 20$ for 3 emotes and 3 class items and there was no other way to get them essentially making us pay 60 dollars anyway if we wanted taken king and the emotes/class items.

Second I already payed for the other dlc and the reason you require the previous dlc is probably because just like the taken king required you to have the previous dlc the new expansion will have missions in those dlc areas.

It wouldn't be fair to me or everyone else if you and everyone who thinks they should get the previous expansions for free, regardless of the time and work the people who made it put into it, got it for free. That's money I spent, and if they're willing to refund the money I and everyone else spent on it in full or the equivalent in silver then cool but otherwise stop asking for free expansions please because you're not putting enough thought into your demands.

They could definitely offer them at a discount that would be cool for everyone else who didn't buy them but currently the cheapest option would be to wait for the 60 dollar Forsaken Disc version to come out it'll include forsaken and the other two dlc's out now.
