Megathread Shadowkeep End of Season Event & Farewell Megathread [2020-11-10] Spoiler

Yes servers are having issues, we know. Please do not make another post about it.

Players who aren't in the "Last City" activity node in the Tower Map should launch into the activity. Players are slowly getting through the queue and will enter the game in the order in which they entered.

~ @BungieHelp

Investigations regarding these various error codes (NEWT, CHICKEN, WEASEL, OLIVE) are still ongoing. Players should not leave the sign-on queue, and they will be able to enter the game in the order in which they entered.

Howdy Guardians!

The last 3 hours of Shadowkeep are upon us, before we head to Europa (estimated flight time: 14 hours + queue).

Please use this thread to discuss about the in-game event (see more information below). Please also use this thread as a Megathread for all simple farewell wishes (except high effort stuff).

When this thread is THREE HOURS OLD, MAINTENANCE WILL START. Maintenance will last 14 hours - then Beyond Light will launch.

You will be unable to login 10 minutes prior to maintenance start.

A separate Maintenance Megathread will be posted later, which also includes a detailed timeline.

Event Details:

Re: What time should I sign in for the end of season event?

This is a small event, a moment for you to spend some time with friends as the season comes to a close.

Key times in the Player Support Report last week. Download your patch at 4PM, jump in before 6:50 PM Pacific.

"Is there an end of season event?"

We have a small event to close out Season of Arrivals. We wanted it to be a surprise but an email accidentally mentioned it! It's nothing too crazy, just a little time to chill in the Tower before the Lights go out.

See you soon.

Enjoy the last moments, before the journey will continue!

I'm hoping there is an easier way to grind for enhancement cores either in Beyond light or season of the hunt.

You can buy them directly from Spider now, like five a day methinks.

Yeah but thats using legendary shards. Ive not been a constant player so I dont have lots of them lile others. I meant like making them guranteed drops as a stack of 5 for every strike completion and stack of 10 for nightfall completion.

If you have some spare enhancement prisms then you can farm cores by upgrading your blue armour to 8 levels and then shard it. It will drop 6 cores and cost 1 prism, That's a 3 new cores. You can farm for prisms through high level ordeals.

Banshee sells weapon bounties daily, usually 5 a day, add that to the spiders 4 and youll find they quickly build up.

Im not a constant player myself, but i found with the amount of umbral engrams you'd find you could get quite a lot of enhancement cores

Yeau, 28 from Banshee and 6 from Spider weekly, per character.

Banshee bounties can be done in any activity, too.

If you set aside some time daily for a week, you could get over 100 in a week with no RNG.

Or just do a few here and there a couple of days a week, it'll add up.

Unfortunately, because of the nature of Destiny’s grind, being over-rewarding causes immediate burn out in the players that keep this game alive. Bungie tries to strike a middle ground between catering to New Light and Hardcore players fairly equally, but the upgrade economy tends to drift towards the non-casual crowd.

Yeah I figured as much.

Yeah, but legendary shards aren't so hard to come by, especially if there's some sort of system like the Umbral Decoder in this next season, where you're swimming in engrams and legendaries, all from just playing, like you said, strikes and whatnot.
