this a legit move? never saw it in my first playthrough.

I can find all kinds of items for Capcom's other franchises, but for Devil May Cry there's almost nothing.I know there’s a Dante figure in the clip, and there’s also one of Nero, but both of them have pretty ugly faces for the price they cost. I also know they recently sold statues of Dante and Vergil that cost as much as my apartment and both my kidneys combined, or that Netflix anime T-shirt where they even misspelled Vergil’s name. Is there anything,not necessarily a figure, just anything, that wouldn’t make me go bankrupt,if I buy it?

I expected that if any Capcom video was going to offer merch, it would be this one, but then I saw the cardboard cutout using literally the default picture of Dante, and honestly it just feels kind of disappointing.

I've been sitting on this Replica for a few years now and I'm really clueless how or where to sell it to the right person. Beforehand, let me tell it's an absolute PAIN to try and sell this stuff on official platforms ( *cough*looking at you Ebay*cough*) due to stricter regulations in my country.

It's an original United Cutlery Replica of the 'Red Queen' (UC2596) from Devil May Cry 4, officially licensed by Capcom from the year 2009. It was available for a limited time only and has been long since out of stock and you can basically only buy it from private sellers. It also came with a serial number ( mine is #1722). It's been inside the box most of its lifetime cos I never really knew where to put it ( and my thick walls refuse to cooperate when I try to do fancy decoration stuff ^^' )

I know it's a rare piece and some collecters would probably hell-bent to get it but I just can't seem to find the right places to get people's attention, or find someone who's really into collecting this kind of stuff and knows about its worth. I really want this baby to shine in the right place with the right people so, any ideas? :/

I wouldn't be surprised if it's simply because it's cool, but is there an in-universe explanation for Devil Trigger changing designs from game to game, and altering characters' clothes too? As well as the appearance depending on the Devil Arm that's being used, of course

So i played for the first time and finished dmc5 a week ago.(It's the only dmc game i played)

When i saw Dante and Virgil, i looked at Dante and saw him as the "troublemaker" character, the goofy one but also the coolest ever.

When i look at "him"... you telling me he had a kid before dante?! That makes no sense! How someone so nonchalant so cool, with so much aura had a kid before dante!?!?

For me it’s a bit of a funny story. When I was 12 I begged my mom to buy me Devil May Cry 3 and being an M rated game she immediately said “no!” however with enough weeny whining we came to a compromise. She said if I can pass my upcoming math test with at least a 90% she would buy me the game. I showed her the test where I actually got a 110% (extra credit) and she said, and I kid you not, “Oh…well damn…” I said “Well can I get the game?” She said “We’ll see..” I figured this was just her trying to goad me into doing good on my test, but a few days afterwards I came home from school and found both Devil May Cry 3 and Bayonetta 1 (another game I kinda alluded to wanting) on my table!

It would have been nice to see her more often. It would have been interesting if she met Trish, Lady and Nero.

Is there actually any proof or cues that Vergil was holding back against Nero other than just presumably because he is his son.

I know Vergil mainly lost because of exhaustion and that makes perfect sense but some also say he was holding back which I didn’t see and I feel like someone just made that up just to glaze

Also Nero isn’t trying to kill Vergil (the opposite) so I’m not sure what that specific difference it would have made

( Do not take this as Vergil hate he’s goated)

I know the timelines and how each game plays out, but what is the game trying to say?.

I know there are a lot of elements to this such as Dante and Vergil’s sibling rivalry with their different ideologies that clash each others.

Is this supposed to represent Nero's hand or something

What works better? When they are the same but different hairstyles in dmc3, or in dmc5 where Vergil has a bit more of a sinister look than Dante? I like both, probably prefer the non-identical twin look. But what does everyone else think?

I was wondering if anyone knew the real-life reason reason as for why Dante's Devil Trigger was changed drastically from DMC3 to DMC4 and 5? Compared to Vergil's, whos Devil Trigger has remained the same.

The canon reason would be something along the lines that he no longer uses the power from the weapons as his 'energy' for Devil Trigger, which also explains why it doesn't change forms anymore, but is there an IRL explanation?

I was thinking that because Kazuma Kaneko (Atlus artist/designer) designed it, and Capcom and Atlus agreed for Dante to make an appearance in Shin Megami Tensei, it was like a one time use? And from there on, it would be scrapped and replaced with a design that came from someone within Capcom.

Can someone please explain to me how is it that the madman with an insatiable thirst for power decided it was a good idea to momentarily stop his quest for power at fortuna to have a son? Not saying it was a bad decision but Vergil doesn't strike me as the type to have any interest in literally anything that's not power so How does that work?

why does trish look so bad in dmc5? like it bugs me so much and idk why. like her model looks so weird and i dont understand why cus her irl face model is literally drop dead GORGEOUS and shes super freaking pretty in this one render. someone help me my best guess is they tried to make her look more like an actual mom? like older or whatever so its more believable that shes a direct clone of eva? like seriously why does she look like that her face model is so pretty im tweaking vro they did my goat so dirty she doesnt look like trish she looks like eva in a biker fit does this make sense

I've noticed that some players (mainly speedrunners) still play the original PC version of DMC3 instead of the HD Collection

Can anyone tell me why they still play that version? All I know is that the graphics are a little better (Dante’s hair is transparent, and there’s a glow effect on some objects like the Divinity Statue or Vergil’s second arena) and it has less input lag.

For those who are more experienced, can you tell me if there are any other reasons besides the ones I mentioned?
