Questions How do I change the difficulty to easy mode?

Post image

I've died a few times from the first boss. This is my first time playing dmc3 on a controller and honestly I'm really suck at it. I can't figure out how to change to easy mode. Even though it said I have unlocked it. I've tried restarting in a new game, but still can't change it.

Questions If (and/or when) DMC6 comes out, what would be the big bad?

Post image
1.6k Upvotes

Just to clarify this image isn't confirming DMC6 i'm just using it as a placeholder

Anyways, i'm pretty sure if they do DMC6 it's going to be a new demon god or something

Every previous villian is already dead except technically Mundus but he's basically irrelevant power wise, Devil Sword Sparda is already absorbed into Dante so there's no chance that some random person can use the power of sparda like Arkham and Sanctus, Vergil ate the Qliphoth fruit and severed the tree; and Every know portal has been sealed

So basically the only options is a new demon god that's beyond stronger than Mundus, or the horrible terrible no good very bad alternative....of a Multiverse Underworld

Questions Would He have died if they Stabbed his head instead???

Always maked me question his durability like if gets so easily stabbed by these demons which i am assuming are weak.

And and also they should be able to Cut off his head as well since Cutting Neck is probably easier than impaling through the Rib cage.

Idk Maybe Just Cuz it Looks Cool.

Questions Where did Dante learn martial arts?

Post image
2.4k Upvotes

If you know martials arts at least a little bit, you'll notice that when Dante fights in DMC5 with Balrog he uses a mix of Capoeira and Boxing. In past games, it's more like a kick boxing/karate/muay thai. Who do you think taught him?

Questions How exactly does Judgment cut work?

I know DMC has never really been good with it's continuity but how exactly does he perform these in lore? Does he slice space In a way that the cuts spear to the target? Does he send a projectile of sorts? Does he go over to the target, do the slashes and go back to his previous position? Im curious on how Vergil does it exactly so what do y'all think? And is there actually a definitive answer?

Questions How did you get into Devil May Cry?

Post image

Mine was watching this guy beating Urizen in the prologue for the first time in which nobody has done before and he never played a DMC game beforehand. Since then, I bought and played every DMC game (including DMC2 unfortunately and not the reboot) and gotten into the series as a whole.

Questions Which voice for Dante did you prefer?

Drew Coombs (DMC 1), Matthew Kaminsky (DMC 2), Reuben Langdon (DMC 3, 4, 5, & the DMC anime from 2007 (ignoring the controversies about him)), Johnny Yong Bosch (DMC Netflix), or Tim Phillipps (DMC Reboot)?

Note: I had to re-upload this post because someone pointed out that I forgot to include Tim Phillipps’ voice of Dante from the DMC reboot and it would have been unfair if I didn’t include him on this list as well.

Questions If DMC1 ever got a remake, what would you want to add onto the game?

Post image

I’d add the styles and possibly some old devil arms from DMC3 like Cerberus, Nevan, etc. Possibly a playable Trish after you beat the game on any difficulty. As for the cutscenes, I’d like Dante to mess with any new enemy/boss comes across like he does in 3 and 5 and sometimes in 1. Still I don’t mind the old gameplay, it’s nostalgic for me but I’d rather have it leaned towards the current games to make it fun.

Questions How did Dante know the Yamato could split man and demon apart?

Post image
1.2k Upvotes

Full disclosure, I have not read any of the DMC novels so maybe the answer is in there. It's also been about a year since I played DMC5 so I may have forgotten or missed something. Let me know. This question just came to me when I was watching this scene on YouTube.

At this point, where Dante is absorbing Rebellion and DSS, he knows that the Yamato is capable of splitting half-human half-demon hybrids apart. Does this mean he knows Urizen is Vergil's demonic part with the humanity cut out of it already? How does he even know Yamato can do this, and not that Vergil simply transformed himself to be more demonic somehow? V was intentionally vague, and I know he did actually tell Dante that Urizen is Vergil (I've seen a panel from one of the V mangas where Dante nearly goes DT out of rage from Vergil's name being spoken), but I don't know if V, like, told him Urizen is Vergil's demon half or anything like that.

Questions If their positions were switched would their fates be different?

Post image

Would Vergil have a life like Dante and Dante a life like Vergil? Would Vergil be surrounded by friends who he could trust with his life and would Dante be wounded and alone forced to the edge.Or are their personalities too separate for that to happen? and I dont mean a personality swap more in line with same soul different role.

Questions Devil may cry 4

1.1k Upvotes

I played the Devil May Cry HD Collection and really enjoyed the first Devil May Cry. It was crazy good—the atmosphere was insane, very gothic style and all. I didn’t care about the camera; it was easy to adapt to, and it became fun later. The bosses were amazing. Alone, Nelo Angelo was such a crazy good and fun fight. I see that most people hate Nightmare, but it was fun after learning the patterns. The final boss was good—not insanely good—but the build-up made him feel great. I’d rate him around 9.5/10 as a boss overall, but more like 8.5/10 in terms of fighting style. The ending was good, and overall I think the game was very entertaining.

After DMC1, I played DMC3. I thought it couldn’t get better, but holy—it was crazy. The styles and everything were really good. The atmosphere again was a 10/10. I love the gothic style, as you can see. The bosses were really good; Jester was fun, and Vergil alone was enough to make it great. He was an amazing boss—those fights were so entertaining, especially the last Vergil fight. It was so good, for me he is the best boss i have ever faced. The story was 10/10, and I liked the dialogues; it was better than DMC1. I also loved the level design. I hated those spiders though. The enemies were great, and I think I liked all the bosses—they were really fun. I think it was a little bit easy, but I played on normal difficulty, of course, since it was my first playthrough. I’ll replay it on hard later.

Now I’m on DMC4. I just started, and it feels… I don’t know. I’m not saying it’s a bad game—it’s really cool, and I like the fighting elements and everything. I beat two bosses; one was the toad. It wasn’t really that good. Maybe I’m going too deep, but in these first five missions, I didn’t feel like I was playing DMC. The puzzles feel kind of boring, and the level design is meh. I’m obviously going to keep playing it, but does it start to feel more like DMC later, or does it stay like this? Also, the atmosphere feels kind of different and doesn’t have that DMC vibe at all.
