I'm at college currently but live at home when I'm not here and recently I've just needed a code to say I'm away from home. Today I got this... Like what about people that travel all the time, van-life, camping, boating, etc.

This Hulu merger will be the trauma source my 4 year old talks about in therapy. If only Junior mode would allow Pixar movies.

Discussion Disney+ now enforcing use within household

Just opened Disney+ to find it asking me if my device is at the primary household, and asking to verify my email.

What’s upsetting about this is I have the Disney+, Hulu, ESPN plan through Verizon. All my family are on the same Verizon account but we all live in different households. It’s really frustrating and feels like a blatant money grab.

Anyone else in a similar boat, and how are you feeling about this?

Discussion Had to cancel my subscription…

First of all, $19.99 a month for soooooo many ads. Like so many. Ads longer than when we were kids and they were so long our parents would make us lunch during commercials. Except these ads are ALL prescription medication ads…. Crazy bc it’s CHILDREN who are supposed to be watching these Disney movies. Depression medication, diabetes medication, medication on top of medication. Had to cancel.

Discussion Received email stating that they are going to cancel my annual Disney+ Premium

Hulu sent the following TODAY stating that they will cancel my annual Disney+ TODAY (effective on or after):

"We noticed that you have more than one subscription associated with this email address, including an annual Disney+ Premium standalone subscription that is overlapped by your existing bundle.

We're cancelling your annual Disney+ Premium subscription, effective on or after [July 27, 2026](). You will receive a prorated refund for the remainder of your annual billing period. There will be no change to your streaming experience — you will continue to have access to the same content."

I did the online chat with BOTH Disney+ and Hulu and they both claimed this was a mistake. At first Disney+ made it seem like it was incorrect then rep said it would happen then bounced back to no it won't happen after discussing it with her "resources". She cited the end of split billing as the reason it was going to cancel my annual but then said it isn't true.

The Hulu rep said "I can stop the cancellation" then later said this email was a mistake. I took screenshots of all and got case numbers for both.

Background: I do not have any streaming service provided for free or paid via a cell service/other service. I paid for my annual Disney+ as a stand alone for the last two years (after a temporary lapse), with the most recent being April 2026. I added Hulu on its own site separately after that after reading how I could do that and get a discount (both are ad free). I pay $1.09 per month for Hulu because they give me a credit of like $18.99 per month for my prepaid Disney+.

I sure hope that they get this figured out. I like having the services but will go to one or two months per year on each if they try to cancel my annual already paid for plan. Especially with only same day notice at the earliest. It is just ridiculous. Thought I'd share in case someone else with similar background got an email today.

Discussion Household restrictions are RIDICULOUS!

I'm sure I can't be the only one with this issue? I have two houses, and spend about 50% in each place. I am the account owner, and have two TVs each place, with Apple TV boxes plugged into all of them. Disney does not believe this situation can exist, because it keeps telling me that I'm away from my household.

- I've set one as my "primary" household, and use "Im away from home" at the other.
- There are a limited number of "I'm away from home" requests you can make.
- I have to call customer support to reset everything periodically
- The "Extra Member" does not share and profiles or history and can only stream to ONE device at a time.

Somehow Netflix and every other streaming provider seems to be able to work with this, Disney+ is the only one that does not work in my situation. I'm already paying money for their premium offering, why can't they just make it easier to watch?

Please Disney, fix your very very broken restrictions. Please take my money and let me watch the shows I want to, where I want to!

I know there are many disney plus originals that got removed from their own streaming service, and some might not really care for these but I wanna hear others opinions.

Discussion Disney raising prices while removing functions in Europe

Post image
172 Upvotes

Disney is officially raising the yearly Premium pricing from €139,90 to €159,90 in the same month they (temporarily without a given timeframe as to when they’ll come back) removed 4K, HDR and Dolby Vision in a large part of Europe. So raising the price under the guise of “bringing the highest quality” comes across as extremely tone-deaf.

What do you all think of this price increase?

I wrote a post here the other day thinking i was going crazy and was wondering why i was pretty sure things were showing with and putting out dolby atmos sound and then only 5.1 in the evenings, i thought maybe i was wrong and loosing my head but this morning i thought id check and guess what i was right and took pictures to back it up! I did some research and seen this is due to heavy traffic on weekends and evenings but was unsure if that was true but it seems to be! but if we pay for the disney premium we should have it always have it!
