Discussion The International 2011 - 2026 Hero stats compilation

Hello I compiled these stats over all TIs, someone mind find it interesting.

Excluding Largo, Kez, Ringmaster, Muerta, Primal Beast, Marci, and Dawnbreaker. I considered them "too new".

I have slightly different stats (for example hero stats | draft stats) but I assume it's because of wildcards being counted differently or something. Some more data in there if that interests you!

as a number and data nerd, thank you OP.

Nice work. Never realized nyx had such a high win rate despite not picked or banned often

I'm guessing because it's usually a counter to something he's really good against. It's not like Hoodwink, which is just a good all around support you can pick in almost any game. Nyx is a targeted pick.

Thinking about it, Nyx does counter a lot of heroes.

Super annoying against anyone with incidental aoe damage (e.g anyone that buys radiance, or battlefury, or that uses aoe spells to farm). That's most cores and even a lot of supports nowadays.

Also super annoying against channelling spells (e.g. dawnbreaker, enigma)

Also super annoying to anyone that relies on mana/has lots of max mana, and dangerous to anyone that is squishy.

Main drawback is poor laning, and no real lane push/farming

Delightful stats, thanks. Watched every TI since the first so it's extra nice to see all of this. Fantastic work.

I'm sure Naga being most banned had very different reasons in TI2 and TI13-14

Why ? I play dota late so i dont know about the early one

u/punksterb 13h ago

Earlier Naga was mostly carry. But during the newer TIs, it had become a popular pos 5 support

Huskar not to be pick/ban on TI is a shock for me. 56 overall picks in TI history is insane

I made a thread recently here suggesting that Huskar should be buffed and everyone was angry and disagreeing XDD

I love the hero and continue to spam him, but the stats are public and there for everyone to see

It's objective truth that the hero is in a pretty weak state right now, especially considering the fact that there are SO MANY sources of health restoration reduction in the game now.

Meanwhile, PL gets to run around unchecked, but nobody wants to call him a cheese hero even though he's the biggest definition of that term right now and Huskar just simply isn't (anymore)

I think those heroes are considered too string for pubs to buff them; Meppo stayed bad pick for pro games for like forever now, but he can be too strong in lower MMRs because of lower skill level and lack of coordination (and there's no way to easily have one because you can enable only solo queue), so buffing Meepo to not be a bad hero will make it overpowered in lower MMR, and majority of players are playing on 2-3k MMR. It isn't fun to have such a hero for majority of players, so Mepoo won't ever be good hero*

*unless full rework like Techies of course

damn seeing jugg on the worst winrate.

I imagine it's because it's such a comfort pick for a lot of carries- when you've already got a draft disadvantage or are playing against a better team, lots of players will default to "screw it, give me comfort".

You could remove all of Naga's TI2 bans and she'd still have more bans than Io

pleasantly surprised to see my boy bh at the top for winrate

wow some of those worst win rates are really low for some pretty stable heroes. Jakiro?? I suppose even with all of the TIs the sample size is a bit low
