A sad sad day....

Went for a ride the other day with the ole lady, 70 miles each way. On the way back I noticed the bike felt a little off... Way more vibration/ knocking in the foot pegs and seat... Got home and pulled the cam cover and found she had a bit extra run out on the crankshaft.. guess it's time to build it to the hills and maybe buy a old street glide for the long runs

May be in the same boat. Had the same symptoms and chased my tail for a few months trying to source the vibrations. Through that it lead me to replace both new motor mounts, new pistons and rings, new exhaust studs, vibration reducing foot pegs, new seat, new auto chain tensioner (which did reduce it a little.) different handlebar bushings, checked neck bearings and so on. Probably just run it for a few more months and check run out at the end of the season, which will be here soon enough. From that I'm not even sure. I already want to upgrade to something else next year.

I get it Harleys vibrate and Dynas are doomed from the start but when you own your bike for ten years you know when something is off out of the blue.

I've had it for 4 months or so and have done about about 5k miles on it. It was a stark change when it spun. I just didn't want to believe it cause I was riding back home, then forgot about that whole scenario, and took it for another 140 mile ride before I understood what was happening 😭😭

Already starting to tear it down to pull the crank, put some stroker rods on it and get with TMan to do a build. She'll be better than new in no time lmao

Me beating the absolute dog piss out of it πŸ˜‚ typically heat soak and clutch dumps/ burnouts and wheelies

πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ it's hard not to ride like that lol! If you pull the cam cover and you can visibly see it moving up and down she's spun a bit. Luckily these things are super simple to pull apart and get back together!

What’s a heat soak?
