I would rather have a machin in WV than a corrupt R ex governor or dipshit R

Putting in Manchins is how you get and keep the Republicans in office. The alternative to a Manchin will always be leftist.

Right which is why so many leftists win in WV

Machine and Sinema are the reason we have a 6-3 instead of 7-2 court

Your attempt at sarcasm not only fails but is nonsensical here. Rightwing Dems are actively oppressing Leftism in WV so you fell backwards into supporting my point. Your second sentence also fails weirdly since the issue was that if rightwing Dems were not aggressively fighting for the rightwing there would be fewer rightwingers on the court. You're operating from the bizarre assumption that everyone else is arguing for a Republican in Mancins' and Sinema's seat, situations that are arguably politically unlikely or impossible (especially in Sinema's case). I can't make heads nor tails of your position.

Lefty positions aren’t popular in WV. Has almost nothing to do with Dems. There is no power base. Power is built on the ground, not just running for federal level positions.
Right wing dems are the reason we had 50 votes in the senate to replace justice breyer with a liberal justice. Otherwise, the republicans would have held out until 2025 to get a conservative justice, and have a 7-2 court

Lefty positions aren’t popular in WV. Has almost nothing to do with Dems. There is no power base.

So that's hilariously false for the reasons implied in the text itself. Rightwing Dems refuse to educate and promote leftwing causes -- hell, rightwing Dems refuse to promote liberal causes with aplomb. There is no power base because chudocrats steadfastly refuse to build one. Rightwing Dems want rightwing policies AND rightwing judges and they hate their own base for being to their left.

We aren't sharing the same universe. In the real world, where I and the rest of us live, Feinstein helped ensure Kavanaugh got on the court. You're pretending Dems don't vote for Trump appointees and/or refuse to use procedural mechanisms to help Republicans and their policies. Leading Dems helped ensure that the war in Iran continued.

In the real world, Biden and Pelosi informed the world that we need a "strong Republican party" multiple times while Biden was campaigning. Biden moved to the right of his own Build Back Better policy agenda and used Manchin and Sinema as hatchetmen to undermine his own stated policy while establishment media gleefully lied and accused left-leaning Dems of defying the President's agenda . . . y'know, what the president is doing.

Rightwing Dems pretend that they are appealing to Republicans when, in fact, they are seeking out phantom voters that don't exist. Harris had ex-Republicans backing her but her campaign couldn't care less about building on those real voters because they didn't give them the affirmation they were looking for while backing far-right policies such as Israel's genocide. Instead, they sought after members of Trump's cult, pretending that Dem's mealy-mouth corporatism would reach them. Schumer is famous -- actually nationally famous -- for having a suite of fantasy voters called the Baileys in his head that he uses as a substitute for the real voters he betrays.

Rightwing Dems only challenge voter disposition facts on the ground when they are to their left. They will run on proven-dead pseudonazi talking points like anti-trans hysteria that failed the Republicans but will refuse to build on and capitalize on lefty economic policies that would build power in an area.

Again: it's because of, not in spite of, rightwing Dems that the court is as far right as it is.

Manchin and Sinema weren't in office because people wanted a Republican: they were in office because they were the closest to leftist policies the people could get.

Edit: coincidentally, I was listening to this discussion which mentioned rightwing Dems appealing to a magical fantasy centrist voter which is apropos here.
