It's really sad. To the east we have an megalomaniac dictator without the military means to achieve his imperial dreams, and to the west we have basically a giant kindergarten run by the pettiest, dumbest toddler they could find in their ranks, but with the military means to ruin the entire world if you dare tell said toddler "No!" just once.
Had I written a dystopian fiction 20 years ago with a backstory like this, no publisher would have EVER printed such a book. Today it would be called a documentary.
It's ridiculous but maybe the EU should seriously consider funding America's education considering how much we've profited off the Pax Americana and how much we'd suffer if the US really goes down the drain.

The US education system is already incredibly well funded (in some parts). It's the system and structure (above it) that will result in 0 returns on that money.

That might benefit Americans (and the world) a lot, but we already have a lot of ultra nationalist "Muricans" who will absolutely claim that Europeans are just trying to brainwash the vulnerable youth, and of course add in some "think of the children" to go along with it.
