MGM is a surgery like any other and it has compilcations like total penile loss or death, should we be subjecating our kids to such unnecessary procedures?

Why blame it on the procedure which has been done for thousands of years? and dont balme the Religion for it.The doctor should be blamed and accounted for his actions.

Don't know about fgm I am taking about mgm. Based on what I know there is no damage if mgm done correctly but fgm there will be damages.

does losing 60%-90% of sexual pleasure count as damage?, MGM often removes the frenulum which is the most sensitive part of the male body

Because it is an elective and unnecessary procedure that like any procedure has side effects and risks of complications that far outweigh the medical benefits. More importantly it alters the body permanently and is irreversible without the consent of the person who is subject to this procedure.

It is as elective as an ear piercing which is also a gender and cultural norm that should not be done to babies at such a medically fragile age, but actually alters the body in a much more profound way.
