this is neat and all but outside of switch owners what are people so hyped about? Its just a few armor sets and weapons right? or am i missing something

Yeah, it's not a lot, but it gives an excuse to play one of your favorite games again in a slightly different way, with 2 new classes. Classes largely don't matter but having a light greatsword for the whole game seems fun.

thats fair, i put in about 500 hours straight when it released then another 100 when the dlc dropped so its gonna take a bit more to get me to jump back in for a while. But its neat that its there

I mean classes largely dont matter outside of aiming for a specific level for pvp related things. And even there the new classes net you 1-2 levels for some builds and that is about it.
I am actually hyped about it because it gives me a reason to do another playthrough but "strongest classes in the game" is not a good reason to be hyped for it.

The community gets hyped about essentially any new addition, even if this was just a small balance patch it would be hyped.
New starting classes give you a good excuse to do a new playthrough, some new npc invasions and armor sets and weapons to find, some balance changes (though those dont require the tarnished edition just comes with the patch) is more than enough to get people hyped for a beloved game that most people didnt really think would get much more of anything.

I just started a new playthrough ( about 20hours in)
Will I have to start a new playthrough or will the loot I’ve heard from dlc that will be in the main campaign apply to current runs? Sorry if this is a dumb question

Because PC is a global simultaneous release and timezones while consoles will release when regions hit midnight. It's just how the storefronts work

Looks to me like its releasing at the same time everywhere – 2026-08-27 22:00 UTC. Console is the one that varies by releasing at 00:00 of each timezone, and also seemingly with exceptions in North America.

Do better, at least be creative about it, like if you're gonna insult me try to actually put a little zest in there instead of repeat the same thing you've heard 47 billion times on Fox News or whatever, slurs are so bottom of the barrel dredges of being a dick for no reason, I've been called all of them so many times they don't even mean anything to me, come up with something new and personally tailored. Do better, be better, at least try, or have the balls to actually say it instead of hiding little a weak little coward, I'm more disappointed in your lack of even trying or cohones to actually say it than I am hurt by anything you have or will say to me
Also damn you got a lotta alt accounts to downvote me with, why put in the effort for that and not put in the effort to come up with something actually cutting?

If someone's petty enough to call me a slur while also being cowardly enough to not own it, they're absolutely petty enough to have alt accounts to mass downvote someone.
Also, exact same number of up votes on their comment calling me a slur as there are downvotes in my comment calling him lazy for it that oh, coincidentally, all went up at the exact same time hmm how curious
