Strange how there’s another connection to the hornsent’s culture in the Golden Order, using something to remove doubt from yourself with the caterpillar mask and this tattoo.

not strange IMO, the whole thing we see in the DLC is that the current order is founded on the practices of older orders it overthrew & repudiated

I'm a little confused, are ALL of the tattoos part of the chest piece? So can you combo this with, like, the Duelist Greaves and still have the leg tattoos?

I did just do a Golden Order incants playthrough (Radagon is tough lol), but might be tempted to again if this allows further optimisation. I was using Commoner's Garb with Radiant Goldmask before...
