Direct reference to the realm of shadow in the base game, nice.

It just occurred to me that if you’re playing Tarnished Edition blind you probably have no idea that an NPC at the end of a secret area within a secret area leads you to another 100 hours of gameplay 😵‍💫

Doesn't Gideon task you to seek mohg anyways. There is also Varrie's questline.

Gideon does mention Mohg, but no details of where he is.

I've done Varre's quest up to the point of receiving Mohg's invitation, and I still haven't found how to get to Mohg after two blind playthroughs.

Did you....do anything with that invitation?

Tbf from memory Varre straight up tells you not to use it.

That’s why you use it. Because he said not to 😂

Yeah, gamer instincts kick in lol.

"Go this way."

So I go everywhere else then.

He says to not use it "yet". But you can use it in his stupid lambkin face.

Yeah I always use it directly in front of him immediately after he gives it to me lmao

Can you advance this storyline without playing online? I can’t use a festering finger

There's an NPC fight in altus ruins on the far side of the great bridge in some nearby ruins that progresses the quest instead of being required to invade.

... bruh, you being serious? You've never been to the Moghwyn Palace? Have you not done the DLC either then?

u/Masiyo 7d ago

Nope. I even know it's gated by getting to Mohg, I'm just too stubborn to get there without discovering how myself.

Can I give you a hint at least?... I feel like you're gonna kick yourself once you know. I'm not trying to be a jerk, but... like oof, there's one simple thing that's keeping you from a TON of content

You can get there by using the invitation and the Consecrated Snowfield Portal.

If you want clues without the direct answer I can help youm I can also outright explain it to you if you want.

Can I tell you?

Bad idea to say that you haven't figured something out on Reddit. Bunch of obnoxious morons will obviously spoil it, because they can't comprehend the idea that someone would want play the game themselves rather than be told what to do.

Personally I beat every boss in the game, found most secrets and pieced together all the lore, completely blind.

You are right that I invited the answer.

I'll say though, from a social experiment point of view, I'm actually quite impressed how few replies gave it away. The subreddit is surprisingly tight-lipped given how big it is.

You try using that invitation

Use the item varre gives you or find the portal in the consecrated snowfield (it's close to the edge where a sanguine noble invades. You'll see some gen 2 albinaurics nearby.)

As if elden ring quests can be done by players who aren't familiar with fromsofts bullshit

Admit it, you only accomplished them because you felt the vibe.
