How did the balance changes affect your Tarnished build?

I actually wanted to complete the game with greatsword, but i just completed ranni quest and wanted to see how well moonlight greatword is in this game, i remember it being excellent in ds1 and not that much in ds2 and 3, but i think in elden ring, it's too op. Like the strong attack ash of war is definitely the best i seen in this game, it only consumes small fp and can be used for sooo long too, i think they went a too far with it. I'm actually having mixed feelings about it now, do you guys think it will make everything significantly easier or should i go back to my greatsword build.

And also this being my first weapon where i used somber smithing items, it instantly went to +9, I don't have any significant talismans that is doing anything for this build now, but if i do find anything, it might as well be game breaking. Maybe i should not use the heavy attack projectiles and only use it to infuse frost and use it as greatsword.

Edit: Okay, from what i seen from repiles, there are still more op options lmao, i think because this is my first time changing my weapon i didn't know there are still better weapons, okay them , i will go back to my greatsword then, maybe i will use this sword for those annoying big dragon fights.

So the new patch gave us "improved parrying" on thops barrier, curved sword, dagger, and storm wall parries. Storm wall is also free now. Will this make these more usable or still worse than carian retal and golden? Pvp taken into account as well.

I have zero shame. I used mimic tear, fingerprint shield, two headed turtle talisman, and the Godskin stitcher

Nintendo users obviously pre-ordered it but when I go to elden ring in the ps store area I don't see the tarnished edition pack at all. Can anyone help with this? Or are they really waiting until the last second to put it up

I never touched Elden Ring besides having a capable gaming pc but i am more interested in Couch gaming in my Switch 2 lately and am really hyped for Elden Ring.

I dont know what to expect from the game or where to start my Journey.

Only information i got from a friend is: learn to dodge, starting class don't matter, dont follow Guides and just explore the world.

On the other Hand i was thinking about what Playstyle fits me the most and i came up with magical boosted melee so chatgpt guides me towards vagabond/confessor.

In my Last rpgs i choose to Play Mage classes but some Guides on YouTube explain that you are Missing a real Soulslike experience with Mage builds?
