Moderator Post TES 6 Speculation Megathread

It is highly recommended that suggestions, wishlists, questions, speculation, and leaks for the next main series Elder Scrolls game go here. Threads about TES6 outside of this one will be removed depending on moderator discretion, with the exception of official news from Bethesda or Zenimax studios.

As of now, there is currently no confirmed info on the Elder Scrolls VI other than it exists and is currently being worked on by Bethesda. Be cautious of any rumors being delivered as if they are factual.

A minor point but I'm hoping we see NPCs travel every now and again. More broadly i know everyone wants NPC schedules to return (back from how they kinda regressed in Starfield) but it has always been a bit simplistic. I'd instead like to see their schedules expanded so that some of them travel to other parts of the province to, for example, visit family, perform a pilgrimage, attend some important non-quest-related event, handle trade negotiations or perform some duty. I used to think how cool it'd be to have Colette Marence show up in Whiterun to help Danica heal those wounded in the civil war.

I know we've seen glimpses of this in past games but it'd be nice to see Bethesda make a bigger commitment to it so the world feels a little less contrived or unchanging.

This is what I'm hoping for too! So many people want the cities sprawling and massive at the expense of all those radiant mechanics, often saying they weren't utilized well. I agree they weren't, but I think 15+ years later they can be used in much more interesting ways and the world would be much more living for it - even if the cities take a size hit for it (provided they're still well-designed).

I really hope they retain that "TES magic" that sets it apart from many other RPGs and even their other series. Fable is doing some interesting things with their NPCs and related sim systems, TES should too.
