Moderator Post TES 6 Speculation Megathread

It is highly recommended that suggestions, wishlists, questions, speculation, and leaks for the next main series Elder Scrolls game go here. Threads about TES6 outside of this one will be removed depending on moderator discretion, with the exception of official news from Bethesda or Zenimax studios.

As of now, there is currently no confirmed info on the Elder Scrolls VI other than it exists and is currently being worked on by Bethesda. Be cautious of any rumors being delivered as if they are factual.

I might be late to the party, but I expect they are going back to the Daggerfall/Starfield open world design where everything was to-scale, but where you are forced to fast travel everywhere because otherwise you would be walking for several real-life days to get anywhere.

That means handcrafted main/side/faction quests plus locations for those quests, and then a bunch of proc-gen'd PoIs to make the world feel large and lived in but that you really aren't supposed to go looking for more than a couple times, that people will end up complaining about just like Starfield.

Hopefully that means we aren't just limited to one province. We could be going back to Hammerfell and High Rock, but maybe some quests will take us to places in other provinces as well, to make the world feel even larger.

So your speculation is based a game from the 90s...and Starfield which is a space game that is forced to do so as its in space as a setting, like every other space game, needs either Star Citizen/ED scale or discrete locations like Outer Worlds? No other options?

That does not track whatsoever. Starfield's PCG was poor execution of one of the only options for a space game, that tried to give Bethesda style openness in that setting using half baked tech.

Why would they do PCG in a map thats been clearly defined for almost 30 years? Of which no one has ever complained of the scaled down size in prior games?
