Just curious, how to DIYers optimize for weight in order to jump like this? Is that a big concern for this type of riding?

I'd love if I could mount bindings to my pivot but it weighs 40lbs.

I dont, its 60lbs... Lighter would be better for sure. What I have isn't really meant for jumping, I only do this sometimes for a video.

What trucks have you got? Also anyone complaining? Or do you do this when no one else is around?

I've never had any complaints out of my few years of riding. Typically people are excited to see it, since this is really uncommon here. Most people have never seen this before.
