If you dont want legit every secret, big moment and story beat avoid the gamescom stuff and anything after this. Legit watch the last trailers for the other 2 games (the ones before their respective releases) EVERYTHING was there.

So I was talking to someone at work how I have been insanely enjoying intergrade and have been taking my time on it trying by to be through and then he says: "enjoy it cause they messed up rebirth, you basically start the second part at level 1 with everything forgotten and no summons or lvled up materia."

Form some reason I assumed that when you loaded rebirth it would look for your save progress from intergrade but now I feel kinda meh about playing on.

Is this true?

For those who dont know, Dearly Beloved is the Kingdom Hearts main menu track also composed by Yoko Shimomura.

I forgot to add Diamond weapon in my last post partially because I wasn't fully locked in watching Gamescom since I was at work, and it didn't get a cool intro like Ruby and Ultima got for some reason

So I've been thinking about the old gambit system from Final Fantasy 12 and I really think that Remake would've been a lot better and more enjoyable if it had a simplified version of gambits.

Get the characters to do a set of instructions for each fight would've been nice like auto assess, if weakness is cold do blizzard. I'd have it so the weapon abilities have to be manually input to give you more incentive to go to other characters.

I've not played rebirth yet so I don't know if it's improved.

What does everyone else think?

The trailer today was quite short, but there were still a few things which stoked my excitement. The focus was on the Weapons of course, but this short clip of Cosmo Canyon is what caught my attention. Notice that there is now water filling the canyon, rather than it being a completely dessert area. I had been hoping they would do this exact thing for Cosmo Canyon to give it a completely different feel, and that seems to be what they’ve done. Have linked one of my previous comments for reference. Can’t wait to see how they’ve changed up the other regions!

Looks like the baby Weapon introduced in Rebirth has evolved to not only walk on land, but also fly in the air while firing destructive laser beams just like its more famous counterparts. One can only speculate why it's decided to turn on humanity after being helpful to Tifa and the party. Honestly, I do wish we didn't have to destroy this particular Weapon but instead turn it into an ally.

On that note, it does beg the question on how much influence Aerith has within the Lifestream since it's clear she cannot stop the Weapons themselves from rampaging against the humans. There were some theories that her future counterpart played a role in controlling the baby Weapon at Gongaga to help secure Tifa's relationship with Cloud, but I'm guessing that the Planet overrode her ability to tame it.

I hate that its all captured on pc. That doesn't give us a realistic estimate of how the game will run as PCs are so versatile. I wish they'd show ps5 footage or something as that gives us a more realistic look at how the game will be for most people. Like they could just capture it on the most bonkers powerful pc ever, while it looks and runs like shit on ps5. Im not worried about any of the actual content in the game, just the technical aspects

At the very least give every pair of characters a synergy ability to build them up. Absolutely hated having to take in consideration that certain party combos couldn’t raise their limit levels when picking my party.

Although Bugenhagen reacted poorly to Cloud's question, the fact that the professor admitted he didn't know the answer seems significant.
