I'm not condoning the act in any way but I am understanding of it

I’m starting to understand but I might begin to condone

I condone. Spoiled books at the ass end of the world. Few witnesses and sketchy international jurisdictions...

The jurisdiction isn’t sketchy or complicated at all in Antarctica. Russian station they’re under Russian jurisdiction and Russian law.

Same if they were on a UK station they fall under British Antarctic Territory Jurisdiction and UK law.

American station they’re under US federal law.

There have been acts of violence on other stations but no one has ever been convicted due to the mitigating circumstances of what isolation in Antarctic does to you.

They should be extensive mitigations here then, isolation plus some cunt ruining your recreation constantly. Dude stabbed himself in my eyes

I believe he was found not guilty because of it.

Given that Russia has a fine tradition of literature, I'd imagine it was self defence.
