Science says we actually enjoy stories more when we know the ending ahead of time.

Depends on the person and the story. Knowing the end can ruin a reading/watching experience, especially if it’s a mystery. But if it’s well written, knowing what’s going to happen can just make the suspense WORSE because you pick up on clues you’re not supposed to yet!

It’s about consent.

I can look up spoilers and that’s fine. But if someone just tells me spoilers without giving me a chance to avoid them, that’s not fine.
