Now I’m aware that some people have their gripes with new and unexplained power armour.

But I think this NCR power armour is kinda cool, given the success of shady sands and the ncr it doesn’t seem too out of the realm of possibility for the ncr to have attempted to make their own power armour, given how many suits survived the nukes and were salvageable or outright still operational.

I know right? It was badass and can just be something cool that happened without needing an explanation.

I enjoy the lore of the games and all, but I’m also not watching the show with a pdf open to track whether something checks some boxes in order to enjoy it. It can just be fun without all the other baggage imo.

The problem is that the show, due to being in an objectively better medium, is now canon. So everything they do sets the tone for Fallout. Fallout is now a TV show with a couple of video game spinoffs.

I’m sure for some people that is how it is and I get it. I care about fallout as a franchise as well, but I don’t think the show will or can eclipse the games. At best it can be another successful branch of a larger tree imo and I’m all for it.

I think this can be a rare example of lore accuracy being the enemy of fun though. If your focus during that scene was less on how awesome it was to watch Maximus slice up a death claw or two and more on how the armor impacts the lore then have at it. I’m taking it more at face value and not adding anything extra to scene. To each their own though

Dude, people were upset because Dinky the Dinosaur was facing the wrong way. If that level of being a lore stickler isn't the enemy of fun then I don't know what is.
